1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Zippers and Strecth Twill- eek! on: August 15, 2006 03:48:33 PM
Hello! I'm sewing a dress right now- the fabric is a two-way stretch twill (the stretch is vertical). I've tried twice now to sew in the zipper, but it won't go in flat! I've ironed it numerous times and it still pops up in small (two-inch) waves. Does anybody know of any technique for sewing it in so it'll lie flat? Suggestions appreciated! Thanks!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Post Pictures of Your Child's /Children's Clothing Here! on: March 13, 2006 05:57:00 PM
I am not a mother (nor am I the proper age to be one) but I have seen so many posts about children's clothing, so here's the thread. Brag! Show off your creations! Let's see cute little dresses and other adorable outfits!
***posts appreciated!***
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / dress forms on: December 29, 2005 08:07:12 AM
Does anyone know where I can find a reasonably priced dress form? I'm relatively experienced (sewing for 8 years), I sew all of my winter ball, prom, and Halloween formal gowns. I would really like to have a dress form of some kind to make my sewing life easier...  Grin posts deeply appreciated!
