101  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Yay I finally made a Poncho!!! on: February 12, 2006 01:49:54 PM
I finally made a real project for my daughter...a poncho, so far I just did a flower necklace, a headband, and a purse that ended up too small so it became a iPod cozy but this is my first big project I made:

she has on a green t-shirt underneath it. I got the pattern off a site by a lady named Janelle. There is also a pattern on there for my size which I'llbe making soon. My daughter loves that one so much she wants another so I might make the next one a granny square one. I'm so happy for myself.

102  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Increasing in Crochet on: February 06, 2006 03:08:12 PM
I was wondering is there a way to increase in crocheting? I know there is in knitting but is there a way in crocheting?
103  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Pattern Please help on: January 29, 2006 03:36:13 PM
I am looking for a pattern for a wrap around. It's like a triangle skirt or it could be any shape but it goes around the waist instead of like a shawl or poncho some call it a hip skirt or hip wrap around. Anyone know of a site that might have a pattern of those? I will try and post a pic of it soon.
okay I hope this pic works:

See that's what I mean if anyone has or knows of a site that has these two or maybe different patterns would be helpful. They don't even have to be that long but that's what I was able to draw up.
104  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Question help me out please??? on: January 20, 2006 05:03:45 PM
Okay I want to crochet my daughter a belt and I made a foundation chain of 91 chs. Of course it is a little longer then her actual waist size so I can put it though the d-rings I have for it. The pattern I want to useia the snapdragon pattern and to do it it says it is a mutiple of 8 + 5 chs. What does that mean if the foundation chain I made for her belt is 91 chs long?? Please help?
105  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / REally need help here on: January 18, 2006 05:36:12 PM
Okay I have some D-rings and I want to make some belts. Well I already made one for my daughter but I used the simple sc for like five rows. But I was wondering does anyone else know of a pattern I could use to make some more belts with? I am still a beginner at this so bear with me please but I wanted to know of a pattern that is good for a beginner like me to make another belt besides the sc pattern.
106  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Granny Squares on: January 13, 2006 08:30:52 PM
I was wondering does anyone on here know of any sites that show how to make Granny squares? I want to learn how to make them but some of the sites I went to had me confused one site said to go through the center ring and one said to go through the first stitch I made and to do 2 to 3 dc in either one so can anyone help me out please?
107  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Question about a pattern on: January 09, 2006 02:26:03 PM
Okay here is what it looks like I actually saw this on a cartoon show, the 3-D charachter had them. Okay they start at her wrist and go all the way to right up under her elbows. From the looks of it the part that start at her wrists and right below her elbows look like 1x1 ribbing or 2x2 ribbing but I couldn't think what the body would be maybe a Stockinette stich or a 1x1 ribbing but the part that is the body of it is not tight at all on her arms it's baggy. If you can understand what I typed and might know of a pattern can u please let me know? Also when they say 16" circulars, is it 16" from tip to tip of the needles when stretched out or 16" just the tubing?
108  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Knifty knitter question on: January 08, 2006 07:33:50 PM
Does anyone know of a site besides the Provo Craft one that has patterns for making shirts and skirts and things on the knifty knitters? I want to make them on there but have no idea how to do it. I also want to knit or crochet shirts and skirts but have no idea how to do that either. But any sites would be awesome though.
109  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Question on: January 08, 2006 03:39:28 PM
OKay I was knitting a pair of hand mitts they are just like the arm warmers but they are short. Well anywayz I did the bottom which said to k2 p2 until it is two inches long and then the body which said to knit one row then purl one row until it is 4 inches long(Stockinette Stitch) well I did that too then I got to the top where it said to k2 p2 until two inches long again well when I got about an inch and a half in I noticed that my stitching was backwards. You know when u knit the right side is facing you and the wrong side is in back, well for some strange reason it got turned around and the wrong side was facing me and I thought I could fix it so I unraveled some rows and tried again but it did it again so I just unraveled it and started again. Has this ever happened to anyone else and if so is there a way to fix it w/o having to start over?
110  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / question about circualr needles on: January 02, 2006 03:26:24 PM
okay I just bought some circular needles so I can learn to knit with them seeing as I am still a beginner at this. I went to a site that has pics of how to do it but I was wondering does anyone know of a site that may have a small clip on how to do it. Like for instance Hello Knitty has small videos on how to do certain knits but they don't have one for circular knitting and I was wondering if anyone knew of a site? If so please let me know b/c I want to make sone leg warmers but instead of straight needles I wanted to do it on circulars instead.
