My very first stencil! Wee!

Its for a friend's daughter who is crazy in love with Inuyasha. I did the color photo to black and white and then kinda guessed which parts should be cut out. Did the freezer paper and acrylics w/ fabric medium thing. On the front I put the kanji for 'demon'.

Excuse this craptastic pic, my boyfriend stole my digitial camera to take boring pictures of satellite dishes on his business trip (he's an engineer.) I'll post better ones when I get my camera back, plus pictures of the dragonfly shirt and... Mr. Sparkle!

The baskets worked out really well. It was easier on me- I dont really know everyone that well yet so I dont know color choices, etc. The kids had to pick up and cuddle each of the monsters before they picked- that was cute too.

Thanks for your comments!

Thanks to alot of inspiration from you lovely craft geniuses- here are the presents I made for everyone. I just put them all in baskets and let the kids and ladies who wanted them pick which they wanted!

I never post, but I have to chime in here.

I've been with the boyfriend 8 months now and spend quite a bit of time with his humongously huge family. I had no idea what to get anyone and hardly any money to spend anyway. So I made a big basket of felt monters and sock animals for the kids to pick from, a bouquet of all different kinds of felt flower brooches for the ladies, and bags of chocolate covered pretzel rods for the guys. His gramma and aunties were all realy impressed and loved them.

His g-dd-mn sister and SIL are a totally different story. I made them silver and glass beaded bracelets with their kids names. His sisterhas three kids- so she got three strands all done together on a really neat toggle clasp. His SIL has one kid- so I did one strand for her kid and another of just beads. First I brought the baskets of stuff in and his sister looks it over and says, Oh, is this stuff for the dogs? And then she acts like she totally doesnt understand how the bracelet works. When I come over and show her- she says in this totally snide condescending voice - oh look, its got my kids names on it. His SIL pretended she didnt even see it. My only comfort is they are both ignorant white trash morons with no talent or taste.

Next year I'll get them what they got me- nothing in the case of the SIL and a cheap stinky ass bath set from the Dollar Store from the sister. I think, in fact, I'll save the stinky ass gift set and regift it to her next year.

Bah to ungrateful people! Fooey and bah humbug on them!
