I'm in love. This is so neat. Here's a site with more pics:

Hey Emily, I was wondering if you had a link to recommend for Kool Aid Dying. Yours turned out so beautiful.

that's 56 pages in total!! How is that only 1.9 yards?! Holy moly.  I reckon I'll just desperately guess it, and if I don't piece the pattern together right, maybe it'll make a cool new design. Errr.

I taped together the pages and cut the pattern the other day and bought 2 yards of fabric which was just enough! I think it was 2 yards (length) x 50+ inches (width). When you actually tape the pages together they overlap a lot so it's not as big as it seems. Whew!

Just finished pinning it & cutting it out so I'll probably sew it today.

Very cool. I especially love it from the back.

Wow. Well, when I printed it out & laid the pieces on the floor together it looked soooo long plus I don't sew from patterns often so eyeballing for yardage is not my forte. Thanks for saving me from buying 321847 yards!

How many yards of fabric should I get for this? I'm thinking like 7? Also, does anyone have any tips for cutting out/taping together the pieces of paper?
26  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Yarn recommendations, please! (iso drapey yarn) on: August 29, 2005 10:17:59 AM
Hey ladies, I need your input. I'm looking for yarns that drape nicely when knit up. My preferences are:

+ nothing chunky
+ nothing fuzzy
+ both cheap AND designer yarn ideas welcome!

Thanks! Wink

Why is it so horrible to be overly considerate? Why is that such a horrible thing for people to do?

This is a very good point. Well said.

That sucks having your mom take away your knitting. I hated that kind of thing when I was a kid. The next time she does that tell her Dr Phil says to use positive reenforcements and she's going about it all wrong, just to piss her off! :X haha (Don't listen to me, I will only cause you worse problems.)

Moska, love how you alternated your alien heads! Gorgeous.
