1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Any tutorials for this technique? on: February 11, 2009 11:51:36 AM
Hello Craftsters,
I am new to the Paper Crafts sections.  This post was prompted while I was browsing etsy and came across a spiral bound notebook made from an old hardback book.

I have a love for little journals and sketchbooks to write down ideas.  I carry one with me at all times.
So I was wondering if there are any tutorials out there on how to make one of these guys. It's made from a vintage book, I was wondering if anyone out there had any techniques on how I might gutt it, perforate it and fill it with blank pages.
Thanks.

Wow! Those dresses are lovely.
It's cute that you match, with some long white gloves you two could be some pretty sweet back-up singers.

That's awesome, nice design, and the lines are very clean and crisp.  I dig the animal cross-breeding too.

Wow! That's a cool idea. I'm definitely a fan of the traditional freezer paper/stencil knife, but the melty tool is really neat.  Perfect for more durable stencils (vs. one-time-use freezer paper or cardboard).  I think i'll give it a try!

Every morning somebody else asks "Have you done it yourself !?".

I used to love that!  You can always reply proudly "why, yes I did!"
But it gets even better when they stop asking, because they just know that you are awesome, and of course you MADE your own awesome clothes.

on that note, I love the purple dress. There difinately should be more purple dresses in the world.

Wow I love it!  Very summery. Something you'd wear while prancing through a field of daisies or wildflowers.  Perfect for summer.
