11  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Valentine's CD for my boy on: February 14, 2006 12:54:57 PM
The title says "come closer". That's the title of the picture by Exploding Dog on the cover, and it worked.

The picture on the CD itself is one of my favorites of the two of us.

The text on the left is as follows:

Ive known you for just over two years, and loved you almost as long. Weve gone through a ton of shit because one or the other of us was stupid, which unfortunately isnt a rare occurrence, but I dont regret staying with you. I fell in love with my best friend, and despite our stupidity, Im happy this way.

This isnt like the CD you made me. It doesnt tell a story, because I wouldnt know where to start. These songs remind me of you, for whatever reason, even if its only that I happened to listen to it when you were there. Not all of them are happy, not all of them make sense, but these songs hold meaning to me. Heres hoping you find meaning in them as well.

I love you, Mike. Happy Valentines Day.

He's on his way over now, I hope he likes it.
12  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / V-day donuts! on: February 04, 2006 04:01:04 PM
I used the tutorial from here--- https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=46368.0
(I used a smaller circle for the donut so mine is mini!)

I made the frosting slightly wavier around the edges. I used red felt for the donut and white felt for the frosting, and sewed some black and white beads onto the top.

13  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Stuffed hot dog (plain, w/ poppyseed bun!) on: January 07, 2006 09:09:12 AM
I used different colors of felt and black seed beeds. Wheee!

The color of the hot dog is actually a dark reddish color, just kind of hard to tell.
14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Chain maille shirt! on: January 02, 2006 06:14:08 PM
I've been working on a chainmaille dress for my prom this spring, but put that project aside for a few weeks while my new rings came in. In the meantime, I searched online for inspiration, and made a shirt!

I used aluminum rings, 1/4", 18g. Very lightweight.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone shots.

For the shirt that inspired me, clicky.
As you can see, I didn't do exactly the same thing.

I tend to look to the internet for inspiration, and then change it as I go along. I never get quite what I start out trying to make, but I don't mind!  Cheesy
