I found this vintage pattern at the thrift store a while ago and decided to make it with some fabric I had.  I'm still trying to improve my sewing skills. This is my first dress.

On the dressform

This is how I wore it to school yesterday. It was pretty boring on its own.

Thanks for looking!

Many thanks to all!

FunkyKristen- I was able to tape most of me into it. The only help I needed was for some parts of my back and my shoulder blades.

PelesGrrl- Just find a friend that can stick around for about an our or so!

Amy UK- I ended up using a little less than 2 rolls, but some parts only have one layer of tape. I suggest using more.
196  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Another duct tape dressform! **Now with a leg** on: March 12, 2006 04:25:27 PM

I've been a lurker for a while but I haven't had the urge to post anything until now. After seeing other people who had made dressforms out of duct tape and reading on the importance of one, I decided to make one for myself. I ended up taping myself into it with a little help from my mom.

Sorry for the fuzzy pictures.

I've added a leg to my dummy. Unfortunatly, I didn't really plan out how I was going to put the stand into it, so I can only put pants legs onto the dummy and not whole pants.
Thanks for looking!

I'm new here, but I really want to join.

I'm kinda of a novice when it comes to knitting, and I don't understand the part of the "Back" pattern.  It's under "Next Row (WS)" and you end up with more stitches than you started with? How does this happen? If someone could explain this I would be very greatful!
