21  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Fabric Rack -- easy, cheap, and a great way to store your stash! on: January 14, 2007 04:50:16 PM

This used to be a long post about my new fabric rack with loads of photos.

My server deleted my pictures, and in the meantime, I moved all my fabric to shelving and now use the wall rack for my television.

So, here's a picture of the rack, and of the rack with two pieces of fabric so you get the idea.

The rack:

The rack with some fabric:

There are three shelves to this rack system, and I bought the whole thing from Ikea for about $15.  Each rack holds 28 pieces of fabric.

It looked really impressive when I had two of the three racks loaded up with fabric.

Here's a list of the stitches in this thread:

heirloom stitch
feather stitch
ten decorative stitches
using decorative thread in the bobbin with the bridging stitch and the zigzag stitch

25  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Looking for an old post with really cool granny squares on: December 05, 2006 12:20:34 PM
I ran a search but couldn't find them.

Does anyone know / remember a post for granny squares (maybe a scarf) and the granny squares were really cool and colorful, reds and purples and greens?  I saw the post within the last year.

I don't know if this is enough information.  I think the granny squares were tri-colored.

26  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Color Generator on: December 01, 2006 08:53:18 AM
Hi all:

This is a website that will tell you what colors are in a picture.  It's totally awesome.  Now I can take my favorite Rubens painting and figure out what yarn colors to use to make a granny afgan in the same colors.

I guess I could do the same  just looking at the painting, but this way is really quick.

Cool beans!

28  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Craftster Anniversary Swap on: March 17, 2006 08:55:12 AM
Anyone want to celebrate the day they signed onto Craftster?  Who's up for an anniversary swap?

People will get a craft mailed to them to celebrate the day they signed onto Craftster.

People would commit to one, two or three swap items, then on their anniversary they'd get back one, two, or three swap items.  They could create a wish list, or a please not this but anything else is fine list.
