1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / dia de los muertos skull keychain. on: January 18, 2011 03:35:22 PM
I've had this skull keychain since October on my car keys but it wasn't until last night that I thought, "Hey I can paint that!" So I had no paints so I used nail polish and sharpies and sealed it with glitter nail polish. It looked alright, but I wasn't so fond of the glitter. So I took all that off and remembered my husband has a whole bag full of paint from a project he's never going to finish. So I repainted it. I love it!

I still used sharpie for the turquoise dots around the eyes.

The sacred heart is sharpie.

Some crazy ass design. I didn't know what to do.  Undecided
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / hot cowboy apron on: December 06, 2008 02:59:21 PM
So I made this apron for my mother in law for christmas.  I saw this fabric here from the user TheMistressT. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to make something for her with it. This is the first time that I've ever made anything like this so I just winged it. I only bought a yard so no room for mess ups.

Here it is modeled by my husband.

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Record wall art. on: August 11, 2008 01:25:59 PM
I was watching tv the other day when a commercial came out for dog food(I think). Anyway, in the background there were some records on the wall and I liked the way that it looked. I had some records in the closet that I had bought at the flea market years ago so I busted them out. I went and bought some scrapbook paper so they would be all the same.

Here's the best picture I could get with my camera of the tv.

Here's my version.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / first time posting in the clothing section. on: November 13, 2006 08:09:05 AM
I bought this fabric at walmart for $2 a yard.  I loved it so much.  My husband says I like old lady fabric, anyways.
Here's the shirt.  My first.
by the way the fabric is courdoroy and the bottom is pleated.

and with my shrug thing I've had forever..oh and this is before I added the straps.
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / bed set for my daughter... on: February 24, 2006 08:17:54 PM
My 19 month old daughter just loves Dora the explorer, but the comforter set for a toddler bed were over $30 which I think is a little expensive.
So I made her one.

Here's the pillow..

Here's the pillow and blanket.

And here's a close up of the front and back of the blanket.  Don't look at the stitching.  I don't know how to sew straight.  Undecided

Well I just didn't want to throw it in my purse and let the screen get scratched so I made me a little case, nothing special.

I found some corduroy fabric in the discount bin at Wal-Mart.  I believe it was like 80 for a little more than half a yard.

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My hobo bag made out of a mini skirt. on: December 22, 2005 03:22:06 PM
I made this bag out of that tinafish tutorial.  I bought a pleather skirt at goodwill for $2.99 and decide it would look good as the purse. The lining is $1 fabric from wal-mart.
