2  Receiving blanket flowers... in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by soupurrrvhixin on: June 27, 2007 10:03:19 AM
Inspired by this post.

Crafted flower buds out of receiving blankets. I used receiving blankets from the $1 Store, folded them lengthwise and rolled them. I stuck a tongue depressor in one of the creases in the bottom of the roll. I then used basting pins to secure them. I wrapped them in tulle and tied them at the base of the blanket with ribbon. They were then stuck in a green foam base to look like flowers!

3  storage on top of the fridge? in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by soupurrrvhixin on: May 12, 2007 11:35:54 AM
okay so originally when i moved into this apartment, my refrigerator was just a refrigerator, i put food in it.  now it seems like everything in the world goes on top of it because my apartment is so small.

4  Re: Spice rack.... in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by soupurrrvhixin on: May 12, 2007 11:22:34 AM
i don't know that this is going to work so well, though because look at the set up of my kitchen:

i don't have any spare wall space... i could hang it on that door to the "utility closet."

that spinny thing is taking up a lot of space.  on that note, i was going to make a little bulletin board (like this one: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=137389.0) and put it over the circuit breaker "cupboard."  does anyone think that's a good (by good, i mean safe) idea?

7  TURKEY cookies! in Dessert by soupurrrvhixin on: November 19, 2006 03:00:53 PM
I made these really simple turkey cookies just for fun today.

All you need is:

Chocolate striped cookies
Candy Corn
Snickers, Milky Way, or other square-shaped fun sized candy
Chocolate frosting

All you do is "glue" the candy corn and candy on with chocolate frosting.  You can attach them to the chocolate side or the cookie side with the stripes.  I did a mixture of both to make them all different.

My partner, plucky1_08, sent me a supercool CD with a four little gem magnets (my camera sucks so the picture's worthless) and gift tags!  Plus the CD case is really cool.
