1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My crazy 9 patch * now with link to tutorial* on: November 11, 2008 06:33:17 PM
I made this with fabric from my stash. I did buy the black after I was finished because the colors were overwhelming. I think it looks like stained glass.
There is a good tute here: http://allsorts.typepad.com/allsorts/2006/10/crazy_about_qui.html

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Look alike products on: March 06, 2007 08:23:47 AM
I was looking at etsy this morning.  I noticed several items in the crochet section that look very similar to some patterns from the Happy Hooker book.  Is this ok?  It struck me as wrong. I wouldn't want someone else to make things from a pattern I designed and drafted and then sell them as their own.  I just wanted to hear other opinions.
4  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / 1st time quilter on: January 05, 2007 11:35:37 AM
Tomorrow I attend my very first quilting class.  We will be making Heart & Soul.  It uses an X-Blocks pattern by Quilt Queen Designs.  I spent 2 hours at the local quilt store talking to the owner and picking out my fabric.  It was a very nice experience.  I am excited to start.
