11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Hello Kitty Charmtastic Awesomeness on: April 07, 2008 11:54:59 PM
I "made" the necklace this evening. It was honestly more of an assembly project. This is my first posted item in ages. Anyways, it's 17 inches of silver chain with fifteen different HK charms culled from all over Asia thanks to the wonder of the internets. I know the pics suck, sorry. The center charm is actually a really rare on from the Osaka area of Japan. I think it took me about a half hour of cursing and pinching myself with pliers. I know I'm not supposed to say anything to this effect, but if you want it, you probably know where to look.

Any comments are awesome.
12  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / New Boy/Girl trade, anyone? on: August 23, 2006 09:23:10 AM
Would anyone like to start a new boy/girl swap? I know we just had one previously and a lot of people were left out because of the lack of guys who added before the period closed. I know newbies add everyday and there's a growing influx of guys. So anybody want to do some inter-gender trading of goods? I supposed we could even add a sub-theme to this (I'm totally open to ideas here) to make it even more fun and easier to come up with ideas for stuff to make. I would love to facilitate this group if you kiddos are up for it. So, just leave a little blip on here if you're intrested and we'll sort out the specifics once we see how many respond.
13  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / New tote bag swap, anyone? on: June 24, 2006 06:34:17 PM
Hi. I'm very new to this whole swap thing. I noticed that there have been totebag swaps and in fact that one that has already closed is going out as we speak. I was wondering if there plans for another soon. If so, what are the themes, guidelines, etc? I'd even be willing to help organize if I could learn the essentials of doing so. How about a theme of totebags made from either recon-ed materials or unsual (but durable) materials?
14  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Anybody familiar with Vincent Price? on: May 09, 2006 11:30:57 AM
So I have a friend who's trying to plan kewl stuff to do in a kind of party manner for what my friends are calling "Vincent Price" day. (may 27th, v.p's birthday). I know he was the king of the macabre back in the day but I'm not talking like halloween party here or anything. So far we just have a stack of v.p. dvds, were picking up a copy of the gourmet cookbook v.p & his wife created before he died and now were hard pressed for cool ideas. We know his ashes were scattered in Malibu, Ca but that's in so cal and we're in nor cal (like close to san francisco). I'm just out of ideas. Mr.Price is an icon to one of my friends and were trying to make this special in his honnor. If you guys have any ideas at all I'd greatly appriciate it!!
