31  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: My purple purse! Does it need more? on: September 05, 2009 02:40:59 PM
That purse is lovely. I like the shape and am very impressed that it turned out so streamlined. The first purses I made w/o a pattern turned out hella wonky. Adding a flap might be a nice addition, but the bag looks great as is.

I would say "How Fascist!" of your man's employer but every one I've ever had has been like that, too. I like that you're helping him stick it to the man and making the inferior males in the office nervous with a bitchin' pink hat!
33  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: I has been busy! (8 pics) on: August 26, 2009 08:11:39 PM
Nuh nuh na na na....I love the Daria shirt but I'm curious as to the meaning behind "Dirty Saves"?
34  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Mundsters - Winston on: August 24, 2009 09:25:40 PM
Too cute! That yarn reminds me of a lion brand one that made want to rip my hair out when I used it...
35  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Cardigan from Loops and Thread Pattern Book on: August 24, 2009 06:50:05 PM
Ooh I love that one, too. I thought about making it but was unsure how the shoulders would turn out, but I see yours look great.
36  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Vegan Caramels! on: August 22, 2009 06:11:00 PM
I've been trying to come up with a way to make something like this for a while...Oh hell yeah! Thanx for sharing.
37  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: TWO-Hour Sweater! on: August 21, 2009 07:46:25 AM
That's actually a very cute pattern. Thanx for the link. I think with my sad knitting skills it's gonna take maybe a whole season of Venture Brothers at least? I also love how the girl in the photo looks uncannily like my grandmother when she my age, hawt!
38  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Captain Kirk / Spock - Star Trek Afghan on: August 16, 2009 07:02:57 PM
Holy shi...dude, I have to learn tunsian crochet, pronto. I remember thinking just Spock alone was amazing but Kirk, too and with a border and logo perfectly rendered in the right font? You're like a crochet mad scientist or something. Maybe a Picard/Riker or Janeway/Tuvok combo afghan are in order?
39  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: 'Spock Rocks!' Afghan on: August 03, 2009 01:33:20 PM
Hell yes! I should use this method to make a Data or Tuvok version. Yours looks pretty neat and tidy, I'm not sure my 'intarsia' skills are that good yet.

Those are pretty awesome. I really dig the color combos, too. Do you plan on selling them on etsy perhaps? And if so, do you think they'd still turn out the same if vegan yarn was used?
