1  Re: Ripple along in Crochetalongs by HeHa on: September 03, 2007 01:05:18 AM
I started my six point ripple 3 weeks ago. Our summer here in the SF Bay had been pretty mild, but of course nature figured out I was crocheting under a growing blanket so the past week has been too hot to make much progress. Go figure.

2  Re: The Post Office Hat with pattern. in Crochet: Completed Projects by HeHa on: January 08, 2007 01:12:19 PM
Try skipping a stitch between puffs on the first round, and working in the ch 1 between the puffs on subsequent rounds. That should take care of it...you never know how things are going to turn out, what with different yarns, tensions and whatnot..but skipping the stitches should fix the rippling! Good luck!

skipping the stitch took care of the rippling, i think my yarn must be a little on the bulky side of worsted. i frogged it from an old pendelton angora sweater. i love the puff stitch for hats. so adorable. i want to use it for a beret next time.

3  Re: Ribbed Ear Flap Hat w/ Pom Poms! in Crochet: Completed Projects by HeHa on: December 16, 2006 04:47:54 PM
I've made several hats using this pattern so far. I love it! I had to tweak a few based on requests from friends and it turns out I have a big head (bring on the bobble head nightmares) so I switched up hooks in various parts and blah blah blah. Anyway, these two are my favorites.

This one is too small for me so it has made it's way to my old college roommate and she adores it. I love to squeeze the pom pom on top. So soft. When there's just one is it just a pom?

My family has this wooden statue we keep by the front door and I decided he needed a holiday hat. It's about 2 inches tall.

You should definitely post pics Cheesy

i haven't finished them off because i want to tweak them. make them more solid because the Bay Area fog is penetratingly cold and make the cable more visible by standing up in a relief...or something. i had already changed the hook size to a j.

5  Another Short 'n sweet in Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller by HeHa on: July 02, 2006 11:01:07 PM
I finally finished this today. I had it nearly all completed in just two days two weeks ago. Broke up with the boyfriend and didn't pick it back up until today. Can you believe he actually said he was starting to see my crochet habits as old lady like?! The nerve. He sure wore the hell out of the fingerless gloves I made him for Christmas. *bitterness*
