What size hook do you  normally use for a amigurumi if you are using worsted weight yarn?  How tight do you do the stitches.
12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / fixing too small jeans on: June 02, 2009 04:21:51 PM
I got these awesome pink jeans at a thrift store for only a dollar.  But they are too small but I love them so much I want to fix them.  Any ideas.
13  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / help with amigurumi bodys on: April 29, 2009 06:28:35 PM
I want to do my body and legs like this.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/38635695@N00/3102997502/
I just don't know how to get the part where the legs connect done.  My mother is no help in this situation.  Can anyone offer any advice?
14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Shamrock pincushion on: February 14, 2009 04:08:51 PM
I wanted a new pincushion because all I had was a dinky sawdust filled one that I really dislike.
I picked a black fabric that has a green shamrock design so that it would go good with my white-headed pins.  This picture is horrible but I wanted to share it.
15  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Patterns for doll clothes on: January 28, 2009 03:45:50 PM
I am wanting to make a button up shirt for a Poppet, but I don't know of where to find a good pattern.  Any tips?
16  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / broke as heck, ramen recipes? on: May 25, 2008 11:36:01 PM
I am trying to use the cheapest of materials that will fill me up.  I love ramen, and it's super cheap.  So what are your favorite recipes using ramen as the main ingredient?  Even better if you have several recipes that use basically the same ingredients put together in new and exciting ways.

I look forward to some good eating.
17  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / tension on a sewing machine. on: March 18, 2008 07:55:39 PM
I do not understand how to change the tension on my machine.  Using a scrap of fabric I tested out different tension numbers but they all seemed similar.  Is my machine broken or do I just not know how to change the tension.

Can anyone help me?
18  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / First Quilt Square. your opinion. on: March 16, 2008 08:36:00 PM
This is the first quilt square I've ever made.  I am not very good with sewing, my mom is the wonderful one.  I am just looking for some opinions and/or advice.

19  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Inexpensive and easy thanksgiving? on: November 12, 2007 08:55:59 AM
So me and two friends/fellow dorm mates can't go home for Thanksgiving as there are limited time constraints and the time for travel is great, 6 hours for me driving; a day and a half flying for them.

So we've commandeered another friend's house and are planning on cooking but we are on a limited budget and aren't the best at cooking unless it's relatively simple.

Anyone have any awesome and tasty ideas?
