12  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Re: NEED HELP WITH SHIRT! need creative mind with cool design...cool i rhymed on: July 10, 2007 05:59:01 PM
i played around with the stencil and come up with these:

ooh! i just had an idea... i dunno where you're from, but depending on what uniform  the unpires wear, if they do the stripey white and black shirt thing, you could stencil some stripes around the guy kinda like i did (except of course you will actually do them nicely...Tongue ), I was thinking if you shaped the ends of the lines sort of to his body more, it could look good  Smiley
i can't describe what i mean by shape the ends of the lines.... sorry if you're confused!

if you want to use them (go nuts) be aware that they are both in the one picture, so when you sve it, you'll save both- just crop the one you don't want....
hope you like em Wink

13  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Persian Waxing on: July 10, 2007 07:49:38 AM

I just tried it and that was awesome!!! i am almost at a loss for words....

the only part which wasnt awesome was the first time when i put it on my leg... i think it went something like "f*&k f*&kity f*&k f*&k! my f*&king leg is f*&king on f*&king fire! f*&k!!!

I think it was a little too hot at that point.

but thank you soooooo much! i am totally converted from shaving to sugaring now.

*btw, whoever it was who was asking about using lime juice instead of lemone juice; i tried it (albeit accidentally) and it worked pretty well.
14  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: any patterns or ideas for a realistic doll? on: July 03, 2007 06:39:26 PM
Check this site... http://dollmaker.nunodoll.com/... scroll past the dolls in their underwear (lol) and you'll find some patterns, and even pics of the dolls in the making.
Just a friendly freminder here - don't forget to search, using slightly different words , e.g, 'human doll pattern' instead of 'realistic doll', even if you're thinking 'realistic'....(whoops don't quite know if that made sense..) i came across another post almost identical, but with an answer... ^that link i just posted actually....
anyway, hope i could help,  Grin
15  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Urgent Help for crazy friend? on: July 01, 2007 05:05:18 AM
Okay, so her birthday is in 4 days, and i still havent got any concrete ideas....

We're really good friends, but have only got close in the last 6 months. We only have on class together, Maths, and she helps to make it bearable for me - okay, we have great fun, but i dont get much work done....
anyhoo, i'm more of a tomboy, and she's more of a pink (the colour) loving label girl. She's also pretty twisted and always makes dirty jokes, and we have this personal joke where we lisp when we talk to each other (not to make fun of people with lisps, we just had a conversation about it one day and... ah, long story...). She loves Borat, and her cat, Scrubs, and um... yeah, pink and labels.

I can sew (machine and a bit of hand), stencil, can't really draw, and do some beading and wire work.
So far my ideas have been a Borat doll, and maybe some pink (or black) cushions, with like "Jagshemash", "$#!&", and a pic of a bomb with F on it, on them (she never swears, or at least, never ever the F word)....So, whaddya think? I feel more confident about making the cushions, but I'm not sure how much she'd like them... i've never actually been to her house. See, I think she'd like the borat stuffie better, but I've never made a human type stuffie before.
So can anyone help with any other ideas, or give some feedback of any sort? please?

17  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Splatter Technique? on: June 24, 2007 01:03:29 AM
Maybe this will seem stupid, but how do you guys do your splatters around your stencils? (Stuff like this: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=170205.msg1740301;topicseen#msg1740301) I never get them right... smudgy, wierd blob shapes, paint all over my floor/desk/walls etc.... i just dont understand how to get it right.
Can somebody out there in craftsterland help me? Please? Tongue
Thanks Grin

20  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Mounting a Fan On The Wall on: May 06, 2007 01:15:45 AM
yeah, i've done pretty much the same thing as heather, except instead of using nails i just used pins - you know those tiny pins which dont have a ball on the end, they just have a tiny metal flat part? lol, sorry if you have noooo idea what i'm on about. anyway, what i was trying to say was that you dont have to bash giant holes in your wall; fans are really pretty light and pins will hold them up (mine too have been up for a few years), but you dont have to poke holes in your fan, it really is just a balancing act.
