1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Dress Forms, Sewing Dummies-- &c. on: December 25, 2005 07:20:33 PM
{I haven't seen a thread like this, so definatly let me know if this is a repeat, or if this is the wrong section.}

Alright, well, I'm really into sewing, but none of my clothes really are easy to make, because I'm my own dress form, and I really do mind getting pricked by needles and pins. So, I'm looking for a sewer's mannequin. Thing is, the only thing I can find is $150 (the My Double, by Dritz), and I'd like to see if there's anything out there that's less expensive, but is just as good.

Brand names, things like that. It definatly needs to be adjustable, but I'd like to see what you all have and do some research on those, or hear how you all like them. (Pros & cons)

Awesome, awesome, awesome.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Striped and green skirt? Fantastic. (imgheavy) on: December 21, 2005 10:56:20 AM
Pretty, pretty! I'd say the black lace would be a nice touch, or possibly white if you just had some laying around. But that really is super cute, and only two hours? Niiiice.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: yellow summer dress - warning, don't wear in windy weather! on: December 21, 2005 10:54:07 AM
Awwh, that's so incredibly pretty!

That's just smashing! The seed beads are a cute touch, and a witty fix as well. Awesome.

I love it. (:

That's just frackin' awesome. Would you mind posting more clear pictures, if it isn't too much trouble? I'd love to see more of the details-- it's just so smashing!
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: red & black purse for a GA Bulldawg fan... on: December 16, 2005 03:08:30 PM
Ha, my high school is a rip-off of UGA, and some of the purses they sell to support the school are a bit similar, as far as the basic scheme goes. I have to say, though, yours is SO incredibly gorgeous! The fabric is pretty, the way the purse is styled (for lack of a better word) is just awesome. I'm in love.
9  Georgia / Georgia: Southwest / Re: Anybody live near Macon? on: December 16, 2005 02:21:32 PM
I live in Jonesboro, which isn't too far away from Macon. We really don't have any craft stores over here that're less than a half hour away that I know of, though. It's pretty lammme.

But it's trill to know that people relatively close by share some common interests. (:
10  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Civil War Evening Gown and Cape (pic heavy) on: December 15, 2005 05:49:48 PM
That's so incredibly gorgeous! Least we forget, the colour and the general layout itself is amazing. I really love how well everything seems to fit together, even though you did mention some flaws-- it's very, very, extremely trill to say the very least. (:
