I love every single one of those photos, and your daughter is beautiful!
Well done.
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: mixed-media extravaganza on: March 10, 2008 01:15:08 PM
I totally love this!
Think I'd leave it like it is though. I really like all the swirly lines - it's so pretty - and I don't think I've really seen anything like it before... Well done.

That's amazing!
I love it, well done.

5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Acrylic madness! 5 paintings. on: February 01, 2008 04:12:36 AM
I've been taking a break from life for the past 6 months or so, hiding at my parents house in the south of France. Managed to do 9 or 10 paintings in all that time, here's a few of them.
Hope you like.

Scots Monument in Edinburgh (already posted this but since deleted link)

French Pyrenees (this was just a ten minute thing)

A leaf (I went mental with the paint on this one)

This is of my Dad and I. I'm not really happy with it as I just cannot paint people (I now know) but he seemed to like it which is what's important.

Garden sunset - from a photo (for my sister, it's her bday today)
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: when you live with your parents and you've only got a bedroom to decorate... on: February 01, 2008 03:45:18 AM
Wow, that's a beautiful room!
I love the style, it's so calming. A really nice space, I love all the ornaments on the bedside tables, and it's all so tidy. Well done  Grin
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: my split-level attic bedroom! (lots of images) on: February 01, 2008 03:38:24 AM
Ahhh that's amazing!
That's exactly the kind of room I wanted when I was a little girl! Although I'd totally still love it now. I love love love it. I've always wanted to have my bed on a separate level, just to keep it out the way ya know? It's all so cosy.
I really like the little room next to your bedroom aswell, that armchair looks super comfy  Smiley
Congrats on your little space, it's great.
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: What's on your list for chrismas this year? on: October 20, 2007 08:36:10 AM
Eeep - lots of great ideas in here!
I currently live in France with my parents, while the rest of my family lives in Scotland so a lot of my present for friends of other family members have to be transportable and not too big! I really want to go all out this year though as I currently have a lot of spare time and want to make as many gifts between now and Christmas!

Here's what I've got so far...

Mum- painted plate for special occasions, painted mug, earings, and other undecided things.
She likes gardening, baking, sewing and reading.

Dad - a painting I started months ago, a stencilled tee with a funny drinking quote on it, possibly a photo of the two of us framed.

Eldest Sister (27) - very rough ideas so far: painting of her husband and son, bookmarks, and other undecided things.
She likes reading, photography, witchcraft, dreaming, and her son & husband.

Her Husband (27) - painted mug as he would die without his coffee, stencilled tee shirt (something geeky), but I'm not sure...
He likes comics, computer games, cider, dice, nintendo and star trek.

Their Son (3) - pillow type thing (not sure on the details) , small framed paintings of boats/truck/rockets etc, and maybe a stencilled tee.

Other Sister (23) - Set of bracelets, necklace, cookie/biscuit selection (her and her husband will be here for Xmas this year), and other undecided things.
She likes bags, her cats, healthy eating, shoes and smoothies.

Her husband (33) - No ideas yet.
He likes Linux, philosophy, science fiction, role playing, and his wife.

Brother (21) - Absolutely no idea. He's not the kind of person that would appreciate/need a handmade gift. Hmm...
He likes football, clubbing and drinking with friends, being Scottish and not much else!

Friend 1 (18) - Something along the lines of Harry Potter in a box: Monster book of monsters, a broomstick pencil, HP bookmarks, something with her favourite house that I've yet to decide.

Friend 2 (18) - Photography journal/notebook (just decoupage a normal notebook with funky pics), and other undecided things.
She's currently studying photography at college so I wanted to keep to that theme... Might use her favourite band or something though.

Haha, I just read through the rest of the posts here and I totally love Toriaa's idea of making yourself a Christmas present. I might have to do the same, us lot definately deserve something for our months of hard work and sleepless nights  Wink

I'm not much of a watercolour-er myself but this is great! I love how you totally captured the boredom and the detail is just perfect. Very cute.

Wow, that's totally awesome  Smiley well done!
Really well done, I especially like the shape and shading on the legs, and I absolutely LOVE the little slippers!
