1  Re: The Great Craftster Scavenger Hunt Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by green monk on: July 24, 2006 07:38:33 PM
I recieved from Stifflersmom!!! I am so impressed and i love it all so much!!
she sent me a slew of hair clips and ponytail holders and cuff bracelets which, in her note, said i had asked for! haha, one of the great things about having the memory of a goldfish is you are CONSTANTLY SURPRISED!! so i forgot about hair things and it is SO wonderful to have some new things to try out! i am pathetic though, it took me 5 minutes to put in one of the pin-up girl barretts  Embarrassed  Roll Eyes i will learn though!
well, here it is! pictures and a list!

Crackster Pills!!! I never thought i would get my own prescription (55) Wink the pills are 100% milk CHOCOLATE (46) with a CANDY (28) coating. Cheesy Many of them happen to be LIME GREEN (50). The label has a YARN (95) border, much smaller than real yarn of course (63), and soft(59) (if it were to be real).
The sequiny thing is a banana holder! she made a version from my wists, the blinged-out lunch box Cheesy i need to go get a banana NOW!

hmm...im starting to get sleepy so less of the numbery babble and more of the show, huh? Tongue I WILL AMMEND THIS POST TOMORROW TO INCLUDE THE LISTS OF EVERYTHING SHE USED! Cheesy unless she posts it before i do! but wow am i getting tired! Tongue

Hair Bits!!!!! These are so awesome, and check out the bottlecap pin-up girl barrettes!! i love them, i am going to wear one every day this week, they are so hot!The blue and yellow flowers are beaded, the scotties are buttons, and the tan are a leather like cloth. There are funky ponytail holders; upper left are bunnies in baskets and flowers, lower right are sodas!! along the top are some ribbons i can tie in my hair, maybe i can braid one in, they are quite skinny! Lower left are two braided ponytail holders that are fun to play with Cheesy I love the little scotties too, i used to wear alot of scotties when i was a kid Cheesy

Cuff bracelets from old belts i think!!! they are so awesome and it is such a great idea!!! I now wish i had bought the 20 million belts ive seen over the years Tongue the picture ones rock caus i have matching belts! not the exact same one though, this one is summer vacation related Cheesy

this awesome box for my new hair pieces!!!!  it is china and japan themed, awesome because i last lived in japan Cheesy the three bottle cap resin pieces are on each side, one per side Cheesy they have wonderful pictures in them!! I LOVE CRANES AND KOI!! i miss them from home, we happen to not have them in maine Wink I am so happy to have bottle cap art of my own now!

This is some mojo she sent my sick car Wink luckily it was just a dead battery, but i had some mailing issues because of it Cheesy its in my car now, caus i cant have it dieing at random times Tongue

and of course the car which she found some pictures to fill more of the list! The big picture that says UNITY, that is the logo for our raceway here Wink every saturday Tongue and wow can you hear it!

i love htis all so much! i need to find a banana to fit in my banana holder now, i got a real kick out of that Tongue

oh thats interesting! do you mean before you wrap it to make the shape, or after? i think someday i would love to do some real jewelry making, but it will probably have to wait til im out of school  Tongue

so yesterday i wanted to make another pair so i did Smiley using my nail again, this shape was a LOT easier! Tongue i feel kind of glamourous wearing threm, although the squarebit is a teeny big large.

8  Re: * NEW RULES~Sweat Shoppe swap= sampler swap-SIGN UPS 4/2- 4/15 send out 5/05 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by green monk on: April 16, 2006 11:54:12 AM
OH MY GOSH!!!! the list at the beginning is SO awesome!!  I will PM this, but JavaStain...i think i have no preferances!! Tongue Um...Im working hardcore on my homework right now, but soon will need a break and will go photograph some cups and write a little more here Smiley but wow! everything sounds so awesome!

..................ooookkkkkk.... just realized i cannot download pics at schooo Tongue silly  me, so, I will post when i get home tonight! promise!

There are essentially two kinds though, ones with a handle and ones without, all are pinched, so look nothing like a normal teacup but i really like them anyways  Wink  since we know soon who we send to, people can pick their preferance as too type? handle or no handle

you cant really tell what size they are, but the tiniest one with a handle is a wee bit smaller than an espresso cup... the already glazed ones are just examples, there are other glazes, and i can make them tiny if you want, or larger Smiley the two unfinished ones (without handles) are what i have crafted so far, well, and a third, i think it was in the kiln though.

10  Re: Handsewing Yarn to doll head--Help! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions by green monk on: January 05, 2006 08:05:10 PM
i don't know how you prefer the hair, but you could sew some hair strait on, so it doesn't move too much near the head. obviously a bit more than 4 strands Tongue but just so you could see. and then if you don't want the stitches so obvious near the surface you can do fewer, or do bangs and have the top most strands hang over the front (as bangs) and sew wherever the top of the bangs are..
