1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: The Delightfully Devious Dexter Rd2 Swap Gallery on: September 09, 2010 07:19:54 AM
I received my package from szuzu1969! I'm so amazed at what she came up with. I had the best stalker swap partner ever!

First, she crafted me bibs (just like little Harrison's) for my twin baby nephews:

(They're visiting their dad this week, but when they get back I'll be sure to have them model these.) I made her twin girls bibs as well, lol! I think it's a sign we were meant to be partners. Cheesy

Next in my package was...

...Hello Kitty Dexter keychain! I'm crazy about Hello Kitty, so this was amazing to pull out of the package. She/he is holding a scalpel and is wearing Dexter's kill suit! This will be an excellent addition to my Hello Kitty collection. :3

She also crafted me a...

SUPER AWESOME BRACELET!! It has one of my favorite Dexter quotes on it: "Wanna play?" Best of all, this bracelet glows in the dark! I'm really excited to wear this. Cheesy

The last thing in the package (and quite possibly my favorite part):

A freaking fantastic memo board. At first I thought szuzu was psychic because I have been wanting a memo board FOREVER, but then she reminded me I posted a memo board on my Wists. She might still be psychic, though--we both crafted bibs, after all! I'm so excited to hang my board on my wall. Check out that teeny police tape! And the doll parts! <3

Thanks for the wonderful crafts, szuzu1969! And thanks for organizing the swap, crazyda79! I had so much fun!
2  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: The Delightfully Devious Dexter Swap Rd 2 (sign-ups CLOSED; Sendouts 8/31) on: August 23, 2010 08:49:20 AM
Eep! I've got two almost-but-not-quite-finished projects and one barely started. I am hoping to have a fourth project, but I'm not sure if I'll make the deadline if I add that one! I know what I'll be doing all week-crafting! Wink

I'm about half finished with one of my projects thanks to a few hours of work last night and a lot of Dexter inspiration! I hope my partner likes it. Smiley

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Unity symbol that is not sand, wine, or a candle? on: June 12, 2009 01:15:45 PM
Maybe you could use petals from the same kind of flowers you'll be using in the wedding, and you and your groom both drop a handful into a clear vase or jar? You could each have different colors or flowers to contrast, then they'd look very nice blended together in the jar. Smiley You could use silk petals and make this a keepsake.

I can't think of anything else that would be appropriate for outdoors. I hope you find an idea you love! Smiley
8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: It Happens (Tetris fun and slight language) on: August 15, 2008 02:40:10 PM
Lol, that's like my life in needlepoint. Wink

Really nice!! Great job!
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: faux quilted macbook case on: August 15, 2008 02:39:25 PM
That's really cute! Smiley

I think a button on the bottom of the pouch and maybe sew a loop of elastic onto the top? Then if you have to shove other stuff in there, you won't have to worry about not being able to get the pouch to shut. Wink
10  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Ami Discworld! on: August 15, 2008 02:37:45 PM
