I think it's really cute!  Maybe a cool vintage or colorful button on one side of the tab would be a good finishing touch.

My overall feeling is THIS IS STYLE!!!!!! Rock on!  Your designs rock, and if I could sew like you, I would definately wear things like that =)

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Polo with all-over doodles...by hand. Please look! :) on: April 10, 2007 08:23:32 AM
I have had the LAMEST looking plain pink polo for awhile now, so I decided to spruce it up by drawing various designs all over it w/ fabric markers.  It took me two months to finally finish (I made it back in the winter) but it was worth it.  The design represents how music can provoke ideas, art, and creativity.

I tried washing this polo in the washing machine once...BIG mistake.  Even though I heat-set the fabric markers, certain colors bled.  Luckily it wasn't too bad.  I noticed the colors that blobbed were ones that had been drying out - therefore they hadn't been saturated into the fabric and ran out.  I added a few new doodles to cover up the blobs, but I don't have pictures for those.  The inspiration for the design came from an ad for the Sansa MP3 player.

The photos aren't showing up on my computer, so I'm including a link to another site where they're posted.  I made a "highschoolmusical" (Which I absolutely HATE, by the way) fake account just for posting pics and random stuff.  Anyway.  Hope you can see the photos on this site instead. (Also, there are some pics of bermuda shorts I made from old jeans and sewed a heart onto.  And one of me and Lemony Snicket on Halloween.)

Fun fun fun! Please leave your input, I'd love to hear what you think =)  The polo is getting small on me now since it was an old polo.  What will I do with it once I grow out of it?  I'm really small for my age and wear a size 8 girls, this is like a size 6, and I don't know any six-year-olds who share my indie sense of style. *laughs*

Thats awesome I saw P!ATD in november they were great! Grin

I saw them in November too! XD  It was great.  Just a few days ago, however, I found out that...Ryan HATES KILLER QUEEN?!  They covered that at the concert! *gasp*  He said it himself...and he even said he didn't play guitar hero...

I was at their show on November 21!  The Killer Queen cover was amazing.  Haha, I saw that Rolling Stone interview too.  "Us playing Guitar Hero and Ryan doing vocal warm-ups are both equally painful."  "Yeah...  But I don't do vocal warm-ups eight hours a day."  Seen that interview too many times?  Nah...    Wink

Oh my gosh!  That means I was standing in the same room as you, because I saw them on November 21st too!  I wore my shirt to the concert!  Oh, that's so cool...XD

I live in a city right next to Ann Arbor, so I go there alot.  Wizzywig, the anime store, is a totally awesome place you need to visit.  Everything there is *So Cute!*  Then there's Urban Outfitters for shopping...Shalimar for indian food...and of course, the ART FAIR! every summer.
