31  reverseable hobo bag in yellow in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by peachymanaangel on: September 26, 2007 07:29:33 PM

I saw a hobo bag that I liked at Meijers one day but the fabric was not my cup off tea. So i bought the bag measured it, returned it and made my own, but better. I made my version reverseable and with a better closer. I have plans on making more in different fabrics. This is now my favorite bag.

This is part of a large soft sculpture painting. It is mostly satin stitch and beading, it was my first time embroidering and now I am hooked.

Disgruntled superhero. . . he is disgruntled and he doesn't care. His motto is "save yourself"
He is made from various fabrics, ploy fill, and pipe cleaners. ^^
a slightly needle sculpted face. 8-10 inches tall

After I finished him I would take him around with me.

34  Fiber Friday 9/7/07 in Spinning: Completed Projects by peachymanaangel on: September 07, 2007 06:27:27 AM
Happy Friday everyone. I can't wait to see everyones yarn. ^^

I haven't posted in a while because of a lack of spinning and phototaking.

This yarn is spun from a rainbow merino roving that I bought at the MA fiber fest. It is plied with brown woolly nylon thread.

This yarn finished up a superwash roving that I got for my birthday(bought at Heritage Spinning and Weaving) and plied with iridescent thread.

This yarn is handdyed merino and mohair, sparkle fibers, sequins, plied with gold thread. About 4oz. One day this yarn will be a kooky hat with a matching monster pin for my best friend.

35  Overshot sample in Weaving: Completed Projects by peachymanaangel on: September 05, 2007 06:07:05 AM
Durring my weaving class when I was waiting for the larger loom, I wove a small overshot sample out of orange and teal. It was my first time doing overshot and I love it. Over the summer I bought the same yarn to make a larger piece of fabric. ^^
The draft is from A Handweavers Patternbook by Marguerite P. Davison

isamax what luck. It looks gorgeous!

Everyones yarns are so beautiful. The way my class schedule has been it is hard to keep up.
Thank you for the compliments on the Spunky BFL with beads. The color way is Hot Rod.

Well I finished off the brown Shetland roving and made a skein of coil yarn yesterday. I need to take a picture.

And i have a picture of yarn I made on the 9th. It is a batt from sheep feathers. It reminds me of worn out ballet shoes.

I did a fiber swap with Sheepfeathers and this is what I did with one of her lovely batts. ^^

This weeks main accomplishment was getting my tapesty off the loom ^^ (it is posted in weaving under painting with yarn)

I think this is my first time showing off on Friday. Today all of the yarn is spindle spun spingals about a DK weight.

Hand dyed Corridel

bought roving black wool with rainbow silk noil.

Hand dyed and carded roving
Alpaca, corridel, silk noil, and sparkle ^^
This yarn will have ivy leaves, green silk dupioni, and white iridescent sequence spun into it. . . maybe

All the yarns and bats are lovely this week.
I <3 the Tiffany's yarn.

They use rachone(sp?) and flosa

the yarns are stash busters with a lot of hand dyed, the large piece uses lamb's pride bulky and more hand dyed and leftovers

12" by 12" mounted on stretched black velvet

39" by 42"
off the loom ^____________^ I wanted to run around with it tied to my back like cape wendsday when I finished it
