29  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / i need hugs! pillow on: January 03, 2006 11:44:42 AM
my pillow was looking real boring ...so i found this cute stencil here :
and decided to make my pillow  not so boring...its not the best stenciling, i had to cut it out with scissors and it took forever  and  i had to trace it off the computer onto some decal printing paper because i dont have any ink in the printer Tongue  but it works pretty well considering one side is sticky so the edges stick down pretty well.

i used acrylic and textile medium  and glitter  Grin

(the dots are glitter)

30  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / suitcase upholstery help! on: December 31, 2005 07:07:20 AM
so ive had this old suitcase for awhile..and after looking around at other posts on here i decided i want to re upholster it...because the inside llooks...old and wore out...

as you can see my cat likes it just the way it is...hehe
leaving me with great ideas for a suitcase cat bed  Grin
but anyways i have a few questions? how do i get around these bolt type things? is there a way to get them off?...or do i just exacto knife the material around it? and how do i get it not to fray then? and whats the best method to get the material to stick?staples?glue?

thanks you all! sorry if this post is in the wrong area! i wasnt sure where to post this  Tongue
