yesterday while thrift shopping i found these neat looking purse handles and they were only 1.75 for a set of 2!  Cheesy theyre about 12 inches long at the bottom and they fit nicely over the shoulder

my question though is what is the easiest way to attach them to a purse?

14  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / who doesn't love paisley!? on: October 07, 2006 04:22:36 PM
i have an obession with paisley...yup yup...so when i saw this fabric i just had to take some home  Grin..and make this reallly cute purse..its about 17 inches wide at the bottom the top is about 12 inches annd the straps are 21 inches so it fits over the shoulder very nicely  Grin im thinking maybe adding a brown bow in one of the top corners...but im not to sure if it will make it look to busy or not so ide like some opinions?

its really not that lopsidded and crooked looking in person! i just got excited i had finished it and took pictures before ironing it  Cheesy
i'll try to take a better one later tonight. so what do you all think?
15  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / cloth blinds/curtains? on: September 08, 2006 07:40:44 AM
ok...so my plastic horizontal blinds really arent cutting it anymore...ive been pet sitting a cat that has chewed them up,you can see right through them now! lol  ...probably because they were already broke and wouldnt open in the first place Undecided
but anywho since theyre broken ive been wanting to replace them...but i dont want to use horizontal blinds, ive been seeing these awesome cloth blinds/curtain things...but i have no idea how to even begin to make them.....is there a tutorial on here somewhere or does anyone know how i could go about making these?

16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / ******edited*******two dollar gaucho pants!(and 2 dollar dress!) on: July 23, 2006 04:05:53 PM
walmart had this material on sale for 1 dollar a yard so i had to have it..i didnt really know what i was going to make so i bought 4 yards of it...2 yards went to making a dress..and almost 2 yards went to making  pants...theyre not very flattering....but whoa...are they comfy!  Grin

oh also..theyre about 3-4 inches shorter now...theyre still rather long in these photos   Tongue

so what do you all think? i think i might take them in a litle bit around the thigh area..

and the dress

i got my inspiration from these two dresses:
17  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / floral beach tote/shopping tote on: June 23, 2006 10:21:11 AM

20  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / can i bleach wool? on: April 21, 2006 07:47:30 PM
ok...so nomally i would never ever really deal with wool yarn...but...my grandma gave me a huuuuge bag of scrap yarns and such...so in there amongst other non-wool yarns was 80 yards of off white wool....and another 40 yards of black...and i want to make something for someone..is there anyway to bleach the black wool? so i can koolaid dye it later? do you all think 80 yards would be enough to make a thin scarf?  Undecided
sorry im really not to experienced with crochetting, i do more sewing that crochetting...any help/suggestions are  appeciated!
