1  Jillie Concept Doll in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by foob on: November 17, 2009 07:14:46 AM
This is my proof of concept for my new Jillie doll. Smiley I wanted to make a doll that was sort of a blank canvas for kiddos to make her into anything, but still be super colorful and funky. This little mod rag doll was the outcome after three or so tries. I'm pretty excited about her. Any comments or critiques for me would definitely be welcome. Smiley

She stands about a foot and a half tall.

Her little shoes. Smiley

I want to constantly make her better. Any ideas?

I received my awesome package from Cassiecate Smiley

First, I want to say thank you to you guys for a wonderful swap. I made a great friend this swap and it was an awesome experience. Smiley

Alrighty, here it is:

Some awesome bookmarks with lyrics and definitions, some have beads, and fun ribbons.

Next, a nautical themed cell charm, but since I have an iphone, I'll be using this as a zipper pull. Smiley

And this is a makeup bag that she painted. I love love engine driver, and the powerlines line is one of my favorites of all the songs. Fabulous. Smiley

Last, and definitely not least, the most awesome hoodie. All stenciled or hand painted. I LOVE it. Smiley

I couldn't imagine a whale so cute having angry jaws though. Tongue

I really really enjoyed myself this swap. Smiley Thanks again Cassandra Smiley

I received my fabulous package from Strawberryh. She spoiled me! Everything she sent is absolutely perfect! Smiley

Two Aprons. They're my absolute favorite colors. Smiley I've been needing an apron, and now I have two! Smiley

She included a book that has affected her life and wanted to pass it on. Smiley Very cool, can't wait to read it.

Next, she included this wonderful little pouch she reclaimed from a thrifted skirt. It's beautiful! Perfect size for jewelry. Smiley I love it. Also, in this picture you can see the puppy treats she included. They're training treats that her Chihuahua loves. I have two little ones, and they definitely love them too. Smiley

And! The big, wonderful purse. This thing is massive and definitely inspired by my wists, only more colorful. I love it!. It's beautiful! Thank you so much!

She also included some extra fabric scraps from the aprons, which is great, because I have tons of uses for them. Smiley

Thank you so much Strawberryh. I really appreciate it! I only hope you like my package half as much. Smiley

Here's Mine! Smiley

This was for a friend of mines little girl's tea party birthday party:

This one was for one of my mom's friend's weddings. I believe the term for all of the work on the cake is "french lace". The pink flowers were fondant.

Okay! Time to post the amazing package that I received from Katrena aka green r my tears$. There's so much to post, but bear with me, it's all fabulous! Smiley

First of all, I received a TON of handmade cards. They're all so great. And! To top it all off, her daughter helped her make them. My package was a group effort apparently. lol Smiley Awesome

There were so many, I thought I'd just show the ones that jumped out at me because if not we'd be here all day. Smiley

Next comes the stationery. They were all so cute I've already broken them out and written a few letters. Smiley

Now, she also made this huge laundry/drawstring bag and put my name on it as well. It's going to be incredibly useful because I go out of town all the time and I can fold it up and store it in my bag in case it's needed. Smiley

Now, the big one! The amazing amazing bag. It's reversible, although I'll admit, I'm so dense my husband had to show me. My name is on both sides! It's professionally embroidered. Amazing. Smiley I'm going out of town here in a few minutes and this is already packed and ready to go. I can't decide which side I like best. The fabric is phenomenal. I just love it so much! Smiley

Also! She made a matching pouch that fits perfectly inside of the two pockets. Can we say makeup bag?! Smiley (It's more visible in the next picture of everything)

Here's a picture of everything together:

And for good measure, a picture of both of the puppies in our house enjoying the doggie toy that was lovingly made for them. Smiley  The Chihuahua is my baby Aggro and the Doxie is my roommate's lil one, Brodie.

I can't thank you enough Katrena. It's all incredibly fabulous! Smiley I just hope you like your package as much as I like mine. Smiley
