1  Cable Scarf!!! in Knitting: Completed Projects by iseeaplatypus09 on: November 27, 2011 02:10:16 PM
Recently finished a cabled scarf. It wasn't very hard and it actually didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. It still turned out great but the picture with the pattern made it look more like the cables looked braided, but that didn't happen. Anyway here are my crappy phone pictures!

2  Re: Fill a Trick or Treat Bag Swap Rd. 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by iseeaplatypus09 on: October 24, 2011 04:30:57 PM
I got my package a few days ago and haven't been able to post because of illness and interbutt problems. I got a ton of things that are all sooo cool and I love them all. I think my favorite are the horns and embroidery package. I got a pair of horns, a bag (of course), candy (yum!), stitch markers, a needle book, a pack of embroidery designs, a chocolate rat mold, a pumpkin, and bead spider. And here are the pictures!

3  Dick Cozy in Knitting: Completed Projects by iseeaplatypus09 on: June 18, 2011 06:37:40 AM
My boyfriend has been asking me (jokingly) to knit him a dick cozy. And I finally did. Here it is. Its a fun little project and not that hard at all. I know the picture is kinda crappy, but the basic construction is a little pouch the balls and a tube with a closed end for the penis. Then picked up stitches around the top of the parts to make a little area for a drawstring so it will stay put. Hope y'all enjoy and I would comments!

4  Recent Projects! (img heavy) in Knitting: Completed Projects by iseeaplatypus09 on: February 28, 2011 04:11:20 PM
I recently finished these projects and thought I would throw them up here! The first is a cthulu bag I found online. I can never remember if its fair isle or intarsia but its my first color knitting other than stripes. I found the pattern http://www.arcanavitae.com/?p=27 there. I really wanted to finish it so the top is a little shorter than it should be. Also since I did the color knitting in the round I did end up bubbling a lot. But now I know and I gave the bag to someone who knows nothing about knitting so he loved it.
Then I also made arm warmers that were a little bit of a trial. I got this really nice yarn from a real yarn store and I didn't want to waste it so I did trials of the pattern i wanted to do. I lost the first one but I still have the second two so I'm gonna put those up here as well.
Thanks for looking and sorry I talk so much!

Bottom of it, I knitted a square and then picked up the stitches

entire bag

Now the Armwarmers!

this was the second test. The little hole is for the thumb and the big one is for the fingers but it was too small

I wanted to try to make a cuff thing. But I increased the number of stitches so there was more room for fingers.

The finished product!!

The first armwarmer I made I just bound off around the thumb like the tests but I decided to pick up the stitches to add a little warmth for the thumb. So on the second armwarmer I just held(?) the stitches and picked up a few extra to make sure there wasn't a hole.

Anyway thanks for looking!!!

7  headphone earrings w/ tut in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by iseeaplatypus09 on: July 23, 2006 07:19:46 PM
so my beautifyl headphones stopped working much to my dismay. and i didn't want to throw them away really so i thought how fun would it be to have headphone earrings? and tada i made em.

as headphones:

faraway thing as earrings:

in the ear:

closeup of the jump rings (i think they're called) and the earring at the bottom of the head phone:

ok first you should know that my headphones were squishy and bendable at the bud. now for the tut!!!! you'll need four jump rings and two earrings.

1. cut wire short and then remove speaker from bud. pull/cut wires off so taht it is only the speaker no wires. replace in bud.

2. take a pin poke through the lower part of the bud wear you want your first jump ring to go. move it around a bit so that the hole is bigger.

3. open the jump ring and put it through the hole. close it. take the other jump ring open it and put it through the first jump ring. then put on the earing so that the bud faces the direction you want it to. that is very important. close the ring and TA DA! new earing.

4. repeat one through three for the other earring.
