I love that polka-dot fabric! So cute! How did you get the stitches so straight and perfect?? I am impressed! Smiley

Ooooh, nice! Love the fabric, love the fit on you (very flattering!), love the black trim, love everything!! I want it for myself, hehe. Smiley
653  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Couple of new skirts I've made... on: January 01, 2006 06:29:22 PM
These are so amazing!!! I love love love love them both, especially the first one! They are so unique and artistic. Smiley

On the first skirt, the fabric at the bottom (with the sun print on the white background) look an awful lot like a sheet/pillow case set I got at Walmart a few years ago. Am I crazy or is that the same fabric??

Hey, I checked out your website and it's amazing! I can't believe how talented and unique you are! I also love the whimsy of your designs!
Anyway, I love your victorian style tops! They are both beautiful! I have had tons of this sheer black sexy fabric but never knew what to do with it (conisdering it's see-through) - this gives me so many ideas!!  Kiss
655  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: two of my dad's old shirts = one really cool shirt :) on: December 30, 2005 10:36:34 AM
Oh, your dad sounds so cute if he naturally assumes you'd like to make something out of his old clothes. I made this great mini skirt out of one of my dad's old blue plaid button down shirts, so I know men's clothes have great stylish possibilities!

I love your shirt! The stitching is much better than I could do. How come you chose a darker thread for the part around your neck instead of one that blends in more with the color of the fabric? I was just curious because I know I would be scared to death to have my stitches visible! Lol. Smiley
656  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Old Sweater + Scissors = Cardigan & Legwarmers on: December 30, 2005 10:25:27 AM
I couldn't help but think that the original sweater is really cute! But I'm not exactly "hip" either, so who knows, lol.

I love the cardigan!! It's such a beautiful color. Did you hem the edges where you cut the two sides? It doesn't appear so, and I wondered if it would ravel or not.

Great job!!

It's absoutely stunning! I love it so much! It looks so professional and polished. I would love to see what it looks like on you, though!

Oh my goodness, your pants fell down, lol!! Those are such cute poses of you, hehe. Great job on everything. I especially like the corset you are wearing...is that also made by you?
659  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Kimono Top and Really Ugly Skirt on: December 27, 2005 11:06:45 AM
Hey, that skirt is not ugly! It's so gorgeous and very much my style. In fact I'd steal it from you if I thought it would fit me, lol. Great job!

If you really want to make pants out of the fabric, I think you should try! It would make a lovely quilt, yes, but try to turn it into what you originally dreamed up! I've never sewn with velvet, nor have I ever made pants, but maybe you could just use a simple pattern and sew it with a very loose stitch, so if you mess up you can take it out easily. I dunno if that works for velvet, but I'm just reaching for ideas, lol. Good luck!
