just wondering if anyone has ever sold their stuff at the beaches jazz festival... or any of the other jazz festivals in toronto? or have you been to one? i was thinking about applying, but i'm not sure if i would do well. (i sell bags) it costs $300 to sell.

2  CANADA / Ontario / fabric scraps on: December 08, 2005 05:41:27 PM
does anyone know of a place in toronto where i could donate scraps of fabric? or a community centre that does crafts or something? or does anyone here want any, to do some funky quilting etc? i have so many leftover little pieces that just take up space and i'd rather not throw them away.

5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / BOXES! on: November 08, 2005 10:51:35 AM
hello! I was wondering where everyone gets their boxes, to ship orders in. I got a bunch from my uncle who works in a box factory but i've run out and i don't know what to do now. i would preferably like plain brown boxes. around 7" high, 8" wide, 12" across. anything around those dimensions.

does anyone know of a good place to get paper shopping bags for craft shows, in bulk? i know michaels' sells them, but they're so over-priced there and i really need some for a show in 3 weeks.  Huh

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Shameless magazine! on: July 23, 2004 10:52:12 PM
awesome new magazine created by two girls out of toronto... it's aimed at teenage girls who are underrepresented in the media; freethinkers, punk rockers, feminists, intellectuals, artists, activists etc. lots of stuff including arts + crafts and DIY.

10  CANADA / Ontario / interfacing etc. on: March 20, 2004 04:01:25 PM
does anyone know where you can buy supplies in bulk like interfacing or piping, in the toronto or brampton area? i'm so tired of spending like 5 bucks per metre on interfacing but i can't find a store that sells it by the bolt for a good price.
