1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / New Online BOM...and its free ! on: January 15, 2006 06:03:11 PM
There is a new Block of the Month starting today.  Each pattern is online from the 15th to the 15th.  This is from the great quilt designer Beth Ferrier.  She gave an outstanding lecture at our guild meeting this week.  Be forwarned though...once you look at the quilt, you will be hooked and have to go out and buy fabric immediately....keep all small children out of your path !

There is also a yahoo group for this BOM so you can get all the support you might need.  Beth says this is for the confident beginner, you can cut straight with a rotery and you can sew a striaght line (her definition)
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Felted Clogs help? on: January 02, 2006 10:20:47 AM
I'm working on Fiber Trends felted clogs and I'm at the cuff stage.  Does anyone have a clarification of the picking up stitches with different needles and knitting them together...or am I too dense to understand the simple instructions??   Huh Huh  Any help would be appreciated, this is my first try at this type of knitting.

Thanks in advance !
3  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Needle Felted Penguin with Baby with no names :( on: December 22, 2005 11:09:28 AM
We just saw March of the Penguins this weekend which inspired me to do this today:

This is a must see movie if you love penguins (and what's not to love about penguins Huh)

Now all they need are names...any suggestions?
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Need help with New Year's costume on: December 18, 2005 09:51:43 PM
My DH and I are going to a music camp which has a New Year's eve costume party.  So far, I have LED sunglasses, necklace and magnetic body lights.  I also have on order some el-wire attached to a sequencer so we can flash 5 colors  in 8 different patterns.  I was thinking of us wearing black and wrapping the wire around arms and legs along with the sunglasses, necklace and body lights.  Also, perhaps a tophat of some sort.

Any other ideas??
