11  First beaded ring, sorry for the crappy pics! in Beads: Completed Projects by Sandi76 on: October 18, 2009 09:03:51 PM
My first attempt at a beaded ring.  I bought a ring at my local Global Fest only to realize it was broken  Sad  Sorry for the blurry pics but is the best I could get using my phone because camera was hidden somewhere  Cheesy
the ring I bought that had already lost the bottom beads.
my finished ring.
action shot.
I am going to try to make another one and modify it a bit.  Thanks for looking!

12  beaded jewelry for stepson's wedding-pic heavy, sorry! in Beads: Completed Projects by Sandi76 on: July 01, 2007 06:56:47 PM
Stepson got married June 22, and I was talked into making the jewelry for the bridemaids. After spending countless hours making 5 sets of necklaces & matching earrings, I was worried that none of the bridesmaids would be wearing them at the wedding. I was more than surprised when after the wedding everyone came up and thanked me for the beautiful jewelry!
First not my design, so credit goes to http://www.geocities.com/robynl_4/  it is the princess necklace.

Sorry about the blurry pics, digital cam is a pos & haven't gotten around to getting a new one yet! Bride only told me that the wedding colors were yellow & purple, real detailed, huh? Anyway, luckily the colors I picked out matched everything perfectly.

13  Last year's crafty christmas in Winter Holidays by Sandi76 on: September 18, 2006 09:23:20 PM
I just found a pic of the tree topper I made last year.
Here is the angel topper, it was a sapphire angel kit from The Beadery

a pic of the wrapping paper that I hand stenciled and colored.  The angel looks like someone tried to behead her  Cheesy!

As soon as I find the pics of all the ornaments I will post them.
I had beaded icicles, christmas spiders, peppermint wreaths, wreaths with candles, and closer to Christmas I made a beaded garland.  This year I am adding angels and crosses.  Plus there were a few hand painted glass balls.

14  Hand painted ornaments in Winter Holidays by Sandi76 on: August 18, 2006 11:05:44 AM
This only by second post, and hopefully the pic isn't too big.  Two years ago I got some of those plaster ornaments from Wal-mart and painted them for my step kids and sister in law & her hubby.  Unfortunately I didn't get pics of them.  This year with new boyfriends and girlfriend I had to paint a few new ones.  Without thinking I went ahead and gave a couple of them away before snapping a pic.

The angel is for my oldest stepdaugther who is a major girly girl, the truck is for her boyfriend.  The last ornament I painted her I unthinkingly put both her name and her then boyfriend.  I have learned that just because they are engaged doesn't mean they will stay together.
The cat is for my black cat, Grizzly.  The cross is for brother in law's mom-she always sends me & hubby stockings at Christmas. The santa is just an extra-who knows who might join our crazy family!
Let me know what you think.

15  Hemp Anklets-image heavy-pics fixed I hope! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Sandi76 on: July 07, 2006 11:54:00 PM
This is my first post, I tend to lurk for ideas  Wink!
I made these for a friend's birthday, being short on cash-plus I love giving handmade gifts. Sorry the pics are so bad, my cam is a pos!!!!! Sorry the pics are so big

My friend is really into the 60s & 70s which explains the peace sign.  You can't tell from the pic, but the blue beads in the yellow anklet has yellow & red stars on it.  The round beads are red with blue & yellow stripes.  The anklet with the peace sign has small glow in the dark pony beads.

While making these my little dog kept whining, so I made her two little necklaces

She is a little chihuahua. Her name is Roo, my husband and I thought she looked like a baby Kangaroo when we got her.  The second necklace is just natural hemp with red beads. The charm is kinda like an Asian Lantern charm I created with some asian style beads I have.  Believe it or not if she isn't wearing one she will whine until I put one on her! My cat kept taking them off and draping them around his neck until I tightened the loop a little. They are loose enough for Roo to slip out of but not loose enough for Grizzly to pull off.  I guess I will just have to make something for Grizzly now!
