That is amazing! Are the outlines and the logs couched?
Hope your fingers don't hurt too much embroidering with vinyl!

Sorry I haven't updated this in a while. I've been having problems with my computer.
Anyway, I want to show the progess of the Murder City Devils.
I'm not sure if I'm done or not. This needlework has been put aside to work on various other embroidery projects.

in Progress

It doesn't feel done. I 'll probably add more embellishments later.

Hey, I just wanted to show off my new project. This is based on the Murder City Devils album cover RIP. I made a little variation on it and incorporated the guitars from the stitch-it kit. I'm almost done, but I thought I would just post to show my progress. The only other majorwork left is to do the lettering.

This is the template

Here is my embroidery

I'll post the final version within the week.

I had actually thought about filling in the colors solid, but the embroidery itself is 8" x 11" . It took me aproxximately 10 hours to get it this far, and I was getting tired of working on it. That was the main reason for the shading.  I plan on using it as a back patch for either a coat or shirt, but have not found the right one yet.
I just wanted to post because it really means alot to me to geta compliment from Jenny Hart.

I got a few great patterns off of old Vinyl album covers.  You can usually go to a thrift store and find vinyl for about $.25 - .50 each. There is a lot of great old and new album art that would make great embroidery

Thank you. This is just the first in a series of punk and garage rock embroideries. I am currently working on both a Misfits and Murder City Devils portrait (hey, I spelled it right this time). I'm hoping to post those by the weekend.

That is so cool! I am amazed!
I am also working on a portrait right now. I traced it from the cover of Screeching Weasel's BoogadaBoogadaBoogada album.
I'll post pictures soon.
Keep up the great work!
