31  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: I got my book - i think I confused myself! on: March 14, 2006 08:12:53 PM
This happens in Cross-stitch, too..to the point that on almost every cross-stitch sales site, they have a link just for corrections. They pretty much expect them. I think it's truly amazing that the author (whom I've heard so much about and didn't realize was a craftster member. yay) is here supporting someone who purchased her book by telling her, "hey, it's not your fault." I mean, really, how cool is that?

*Joins bijouxmaster in chant*  I will make a granny square...

Well, I'm making this for sure! I went out and bought the thread, and lovely Linsdey lead me to where to find the pattern!

Well, you know we shall require pictures.  Grin

I didn't even get a "this website does not exist". I just got a big ol white screen with nothing, a craftster void!! Cry

Thank you, Leah, for putting our mental health ahead of your own need to sleep. I hope you're getting lots of rest now.

YKYACW you keep seeing things in the store and saying "oh that would be great for a swap"...or "ohhhh so and so would love that" (a craftster of course) and you haven't even worked up the nerve to BE in a swap yet.  Undecided
37  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: LOVE JESUS SWAP ROUND 2!!!! (SIGNUPS EXTENDED 2/27/06 TO 3/17/06, send 3/27/06) on: March 11, 2006 02:07:54 PM

38  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / I wrote an article about Craftster on: March 11, 2006 03:47:28 AM
Wasn't sure where to put this. It feels like a commercial (and it does help me if you read the article) but I really wrote it because I love craftster and it seemed like a natural thing to do. Anyway, you'll find the article here:

I wrote it a while back but it just got published yesterday. Hope you guys like it. It's sort of a tribute to Leah and all the sweet, helpful folks here at Craftster. I can't tell you how it's changed my life for the better and probably my family's life, too.  Hope you like the article.

40  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: ALL YEAR LONG CHRISTMAS CRAFTALONG 2006 on: March 09, 2006 06:32:49 AM
Oh Misswrite.. I was wondering if you did the directiuons for the book thongs or just beaded some string.  I am a knitter and not too strong on crochet how long are yours?

I just looked at some on the net; like http://www.gemstonegifts.com/bookmark.htm. The first ones I made I used some vinyl string I had but I read a description of some that used waxed linen so I bought some of that. I like it pretty well and it seems strong enough.

I absolutely love your eyeglass holder. I have a friend who keeps hers on her necklace but this would be even safer. Very cool. Hmmm...who do I know that could use that? lol...thinking, thinking...... (I want to make one).
