So, I've been lurking for awhile and decided it's time to post some stuff I've finished recently! I wanted to make a bag for the Amy Butler contest that was going on over at Craftzine, so I made a prototype first and I was pretty in love with the cuteness! I really wanted a bag with some pockets in the front because I waste too much time digging around for my phone and keys! It's made out of red duck cloth and a super cute heart print I found on ebay! Add some piping, bias tape and a handful of heart buttons and voila!:

And then I re-made it in Amy Butler's lotus fabric because I adore the orange/grey combination!:

I'm pretty happy with how they came out and cant wait to make it in some other colors and fabrics! Let me know what you think!
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My first post- A gift for my favorite aunt! on: November 23, 2005 09:33:09 PM
My favorite aunt re-married recently and they just bought their first home together, so I thought what better occasion than this to learn embroidery. I decided to embroider a set of tea towels for their new home and I chose the Aunt Martha pattern "Animated Kitchenware". It's such a cute pattern! So, here are the 4 tea towels that I did: (sorry my digital camera isnt the best!)

And then I got ultra ambitious and decided to try embroidering a card for them, as well. So, I stitched an image on cardstock and then glued it to a blank card and put a personalized embroidered tag on the back. It's a little hard to read, but it says 'Congratulations!' Here's how it came out:

I'm pretty proud of them and cant wait to give it to them over the holiday weekend! Let me know what you think!!
