I know it says completed...but sharing my works in progress, helps me to be sure and finish. Although with the star fairy, I definitely will, as its a gift for my niece. The other painting is one for Illustrationfriday.com, which I try and contribute to as much as possible. The theme for thlast week was "blue" The painting is titled "Blue interaction"

"Star Fairy" Acrylic on canvas..WIP. I know there are issues that need fixed..and darn if she doesn't need a face.

32  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / silly pencil box on: December 12, 2005 10:06:54 AM
I painted an old candy box, and hot glued buttons and my kid's plastic beads to it. I wanted fun, silly, and colorful..and a flat box to make it easy to stick in my backpack, so I can have a sketchbook and pencils with me all the time.

34  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Kissing Box on: November 28, 2005 04:23:10 PM
A shoe box was used, and I printed various photos of people kissing after toning them a sepia color in photoshop. I primed the box and lid with gesso, then painted it with burnt umber artists acrylics, then using collage glue, applied the cut out pictures. Then I put two more coats of the collage glue( watered down some) over the whole thing. I have some rather large jewelry, stainless steel, and leather collars and I use stuff like wallet chains for necklaces, so I use this for my jewelry.

35  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Painted stools on: November 28, 2005 04:08:10 PM
A couple of stools that I spray painted red this past spring..then painted with artists acrylics last weekend, when I had the flu...
So, maybe not my best painting, but I like em.
They are "fishy" and "sour puss"..you can probably guess who is who. I have a slight obsession with fish...( moons, cats, snakes, and hummingbirds too.)

36  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A very little bit of my art. on: November 23, 2005 10:20:47 PM
I dont want to over do on the picture posting, so I limited it to 3. I can recall those slow dial up days, and how long alot of graphics would take to load. ok..here's a few.

"For my Mother"(A portrait of my Father )

Just picked at random...not necessarily my best or favs...although I'm liking the elephant alot lately. I made it into a light switch cover, with sticker paper and my printer.

37  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Mosaic on: November 22, 2005 06:17:06 PM

I have tons of these old irregular stones/blocks from a renovated pond. Lets hope I get it to work right.
