1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Teddy Bear body patterns? on: October 02, 2014 03:28:26 PM
Does anyone know of a good all-purpose teddy bear pattern, either a full bear or just a body, that's a fairly easy sew?  My 16 year old daughter's dear friend Teddy is ready for his third body and I've found a few patterns but nothing that stands out as a winner.  His head is about 4" high.  Thank you!

Cute stuff! I must say, no matter what your size high waisted pants rock. But ESPECIALLY on curvy girls. One of the tricks I use while dressing, is where does the band hit? This can be the waistband on pants, does it sit at the widest part of my hips? Or higher up where my waist comes in? If you put the band on the wide part, it's going to bring attention to that spot. This is why I never wear low rise jeans, it looks like I put on 10 pounds to my waist. Most people fear the high waist because they think of mom jeans. But I say, think more of the jeans your mom wore in the 70's, high waist, tight and no trace of mom frump! So rock the pants! You look fab in them Cheesy

Totally on cue with that... all the low waisted jeans now, ugh.  My legs are big so none of them stay up heeheehee.  These pants look AWESOME on you... even sexy!  Think Kate Hepburn and all the other beautiful starlets of the 40s.  You got it.  Fantastic job!

I've had this in my favorites for quite some time now.  Being rather um... Rubenesque... I have a hard time finding really cute tshirts (the ones with the snarky sayings LOL) that fit right.  I have a whole collection I've bought at the Sally simply because they're cute, thinking I'd do something with them.  Now I have something to do!

Of course, I forgot this idea when I was in NY and didn't buy one of the women's tshirts for Wicked because they were too small.  Doh!  I cannot brain today... I has the dumbs.

Well talk about kismet!  I was just cleaning off the dining room table (otherwise known as "the crap heap" by the daddy) last night and wondering what good use I could put my kids' stacks and stacks of "My Big Backyard" magazines to.  These and rolled paper beads are going to be keeping my lovies very very busy (and make the daddy very very happy LOL).

These are hilarious.... so wrong, and yet so right LOL.

HAHAHAHAHAHA If the doctor hadn't fixed the problem, I'd be peeing my pants right now.

Having had cats literally since I was born, I know this to be sooooo true.  Cat puke is evil, and will permanently etch dresser tops!  And they especially enjoy doing their pukes in the middle of the night on the bed, on the husband's side!

I love these, what a great idea, and how nice not to have to resin (since it's coming on winter soon and I live in the Midwest brrrrr)!  I love the way they float, it's very very cool.

I skimmed the posts and couldn't find my answer to this, so forgive me if you already posted it.  Did you use copies or originals of your pics?  I've got a whole suitcase of old black & white photos my mom left me, but I'm not sure I want to cut them up.

I think without the eyes they're more... innocent?  Does that make sense?  Somehow sweeter.
