1  Baby leg warmers in Knitting: Completed Projects by elizabooth on: February 23, 2006 09:21:43 AM

Inspired by a friend who did the same, I whipped up these lil' leg warmers for my little one to eliminate the gap between her socks and her pant legs that forms when she sits in the stroller. Very easy, just plain old K2, P2 rib.

My little Katie was feeling left out, so here she is. She's knit out of Cascade 220.

So, as an update, here are the four finished dolls. I used a hodge podge of scrap yarn, so they all turned out pretty differently, but they're not supposed to be perfect, right? I present them to my friends tomorrow, so wish me luck!

4  Knit My Own Friends in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by elizabooth on: December 11, 2005 05:19:19 PM

I thought that recreating my friends in doll effigy form would be a good (and cheap) idea for Xmas gifts this year. I'm doing four in total (two couples) and here is my first finished doll -- my dear friend Joanne. The effect is somewhat lost if you don't know her, but I swear it looks just like her.

I used the Knit Your Own Rock Star pattern (loosely), basing Jo here on Joan Jett.

The painful details can be found on my blog: http://www.elizaboothy.blogspot.com.
