1  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Arkansas Yum Yums on: July 18, 2011 06:48:28 AM
This hasn't been the best growing season due to the horrible heat wave that we've been enduring, but thank goodness for small waterable gardens!

My first year to grow sunflowers in the garden.  The seeds were so pretty!  I saved plenty for a full row of them next year.

The cucumbers are going crazy this year.  Last year, was horrible and I didn't get any.

We love okra in Arkansas.  I plan to pickle a batch or three.

Planted the tomatoes a little late.  They're still green.

And these are my egg plants!  hehe.

They grow these.  Grin

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / JANUARY ATC GALLERY on: January 01, 2007 11:33:22 AM
Here's my first ATC of the new year!  This is part III of my crochet series, parts one and two are soon to be on their way to Asphalt Queen.

Does anyone else have a husband jealous of their addict...er I mean craft?
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet ATC's on: January 01, 2007 10:25:56 AM
These are a set of ATC's that I made for a personal swap partner.
I'm really proud of these especially because crochet is my true craft and I've been shamelessly neglecting it since learning about Artist Trading Cards.  So I vowed to incorporate my love for crochet into ATC's.  These are the first of my crochet series.

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Skrik on: December 29, 2006 08:23:07 AM
Ok, this isn't too awfully original but I like it!

Skrik - Edvard Munch - I found the cutout in a magazine on an M&M's ad would you believe?!

5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Mouse Experiment (pic intense) on: September 10, 2006 08:39:09 AM
I've finally found the perfect mousie pattern and it's so quick and easy that I've vowed to crochet one for every kitty I know in a different type and texture of yarn.  I've infused this one and another one that I've given away already with catnip and I've left off sewing the beaded eyes on for safeties sake.  The kitties love them.

Mouse #2 - Cammouse - Kitty says meh.  Guess she can't find it when she wants to play:

Mouse #3 is still in progress.  She is made out of this super slippery soft, fluffy pain in the butt yarn.

This mousie has been kitty approved.  No catnip, and soooo soft!  Sammie won't let me have it long enough to put ears on it.  I'll have to lock her out of the house later so I can finish it:  Grin

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Hurry! Run! Neat Pattern of the Day! on: August 23, 2006 06:17:04 PM

My mom loves owls.  She's sooo gonna get this.
7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Say Hello to my Leeetle Friend on: August 02, 2006 04:27:50 PM
My lady boss has been really depressed lately, so I whipped this together to cheer her up.  She loves and takes care of horses and you know what?  It worked!  She smiled.  Grin  He's totally not perfect but meh, he's cute!

Pattern here:  www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=28932  (Thank you KristieMN !! )
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Cotton CD Coasters on: July 30, 2006 11:57:11 AM
My mom always called those cd's that you try to burn but inevitably mess up coasters.  I guess, but they weren't really very absorbant and the sweat from your glass would slide off onto the wood soooo, just add cotton!

I love my cotton coasters.  They're a great way to recycle old cd's or re-use the ones you've crapped up.  They're uber absorbant, and it's a great way to stash bust too!  Grin

And here's what the back looks like...

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Beaded Cell Phone Cozy (Razor) on: July 23, 2006 02:36:22 PM
I love hooking these, they're so quick and easy.  The hardest part for me is trying to make them all unique.
I made a couple last night, this one and another that was black with kelly green stripes.  My step-daughter snatched that one up before I could get a picture...

But here's my beaded Razor Cozy:

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Band of Beads Bag on: June 05, 2006 05:16:46 PM
Here's a bag that I finished (all except for the lining) this past weekend.  It didn't take long at all to finish.  I can't wait to get it lined because right now it stretches down to my knees when I put any weight in it!  You can find the pattern here:
