11  Re: MICE! (my first craft-thingy this year) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by MoxZ on: January 10, 2007 02:11:57 PM
I love those mice!  The colors you've chosen are sooo cute! I found this pattern too and made a bunch of these mice for my kitteh.  I put some catnip in the stuffing of them and also a little bell in one that I took off of her collar.  Bells on cat collars makes my kitteh crazy but she really likes to shake the mousie.  Congratulations on getting back to craftiness!

Here's a picture of one of hers:

13  Re: Ephemera AND ATC swap round 1-Gallery in The Swap Gallery by MoxZ on: January 10, 2007 01:40:25 PM
Oh mah goodness!  You peoples are not going to believe what I received in my mail today!  Sindy has just provided me with inspiration for my next 200 ATC's!  This will be seriously picture intense...my apologies to those of you on dial-up!  Grin

I received in a manilla envelope.  My eyes about bugged out of my head when I first saw this!  I sent mine in a regular business envelope and I was worried that I had done wrong but Ms. Sindy...oh she is a creative one!  She had placed her business envelope inside with a couple of other pieces that were added as extra gifts.

First have a look at the outside of this envelope!  She stamped it!  I only wished I had such a stamp collection.  But who needs one now!

So here is what I found inside of the big envelope.  Sindy had made me a couple of cd's of some digi stuffs.   1) Da Vinci Treasury and 2) Alphabets & Ornaments.  You can see that the ephemera was all tucked tightly into the business envelope.  There was a half of a cereal box to cut cards from , and a wonderful card inside with a personal note.   You can see the card that she made for me here but I'll post a better photo at the end.

So I immediately started to spread everything out on my floor and it's a good thing that I was already on the floor!  My husband was watching me and saying, "oh no oh no oh no no no"  hee hee my living room has been covered in paper snippets and ATC things since before Christmas...

Can you believe that she got all of this stuff inside of that white envelope?!  There are beautiful papers and vellum with so many different pictures and antiques book pages in French and I think Italian!  There's stickers and stars and little eyelets shaped like stars and 3d embellishments and what looks like asian money!  Antique receipts and tickets oh my!

So here are close ups of some of the goodies.

And then I found this beautiful card.  It's titled Serenity.  Sorry, it's just a little blurry..my hands must have been shaking.  Shocked

Oh man, Sindy!  You've just completely blown me away.  I feel like I can stop collecting now.  There are things that I've never used and can't wait to start playing with this!  I can't begin to thank you enough for all that you've done.  Really!  I'd wet slop smooch you if I could get my hands on you!  Thanks a million hun!

Wow Selise I am really impressed!  I think I'm in love with believe too.  Do you keep your favorites?

and A-Roze!  I love that you're reaching outside of your language for inspiration.

K, here are some cards that I've recieved this week in personal trades.
The flower series is from Asphalt Angel.  They both close up, one with a ribbon and the other with a thicker ribbon with a button and hole!  They're called Hawaiian Flower I and II.

The painted lady card which you've seen is from Paperbag.  I fell in love with this colorful card! It's called pensive.  Thank you ladies for these wonderful cards! *hugz

Here's one I made yesterday called "Starflower."  It was sort of an experiment with some different crochet motifs.  Selise has snagged it for a personal trade. Smiley

TY TY Ladies Smiley And I managed one more for the first day of 2007. I probably should have put them together.

Sorry for the shameless trade plug.  That's the way it's formatted for my trade blog.

18  Crochet ATC's in Crochet: Completed Projects by MoxZ on: January 01, 2007 10:25:56 AM

These are a set of ATC's that I made for a personal swap partner.
I'm really proud of these especially because crochet is my true craft and I've been shamelessly neglecting it since learning about Artist Trading Cards.  So I vowed to incorporate my love for crochet into ATC's.  These are the first of my crochet series.

Ok, this isn't too awfully original but I like it!

Skrik - Edvard Munch - I found the cutout in a magazine on an M&M's ad would you believe?!
