1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: It's a bag... wait no... it's a hat! on: January 23, 2007 12:40:54 PM
Woah!  I posted this like a year ago.  It's like reading over journal entries from years past... but with new replies.  It feels totally earie.  Thanks for looking... again!

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Denim Jeans + Bedsheet + patches = Long Hippie Skirt on: January 09, 2007 10:49:29 PM
I am of the firm belief that everyone needs a patch project.  Patch pants, patch skirt, patchwork blanket.  Anything like that.  I would have turned my patch pants into a skirt a long time ago, but I'm a guy.  Your skirt looks amazing.  It makes me envious that I don't get to wear a skirt, but I won't get off on that.

Keep on patchin'!

I did use a stencil for it.  I wish I had a hand steady enough to just do it free hand, but I'm not even close.  I'm glad y'all like it.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / It's all about love... pink love on: January 07, 2007 08:37:11 PM
I think pink is my new favorite color.  I think everyone should have a pink shirt.  It's just such a happy color!  Anyway, I had 2 white shirts that were way too short.  So I cut out the middle of one and put it in the other, then I dyed the shirt pink and painted "love" on the front and the little heart/cross thing on the back...  It came out alright, I'm not as pleased as I was hoping.  But it's pink so that rocks, and I love the reaction that people have when they see it.  C'mon, what guy wears a pink shirt that says love?

Sorry I couldn't get a better picture of the front:

And the back:
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / big ol' beanie on: November 11, 2006 11:14:07 PM
Alright, so I did a swap with my friend that I was with last semester in England (I'm in Japan now).  Anyway, she sent me this awesome awesome yarn that I turned into a beanie.  I still have some left over so i think i may make something small to send back to her as a little extra thanks...

Anyway I wanted something that was big enough for all my hair.  I have young dreads so I needed a beanie like that.  The results:

It's not the greatest picture but it does the job.
