1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / How do I make this square?!?! on: December 28, 2014 07:42:38 PM

Does anyone know of a pattern for the large square?  It is begging to be a pillow cover!!  I'm new to crochet and I have tried to wing it with no luck.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Purl Bee Chevron baby blanket increase question on: September 16, 2012 01:07:25 PM
I am not a novice by any means, but I cannot get a correct count for this blanket!  The second row instructions say, in part,  "knit into front and back (kfb) 2 times".  Does this mean KFB twice in the same stitch or KFB into one stich, KFB into one stitch?  For some reason, I cannot wrap my brain around this!  Huh

Link to pattern:  http://www.purlbee.com/chevron-baby-blanket/2011/9/15/whits-knits-chevron-baby-blanket.html

Thanks in advance!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Casting on X + Y help on: December 23, 2011 04:27:35 PM
I'm attempting a zig zag knit afghan.  I am not using a pattern, but the stitch pattern calls for a multiple of 12 + 3.  Does this mean I can cast on, let's say 216 +3, or would it be a +3 after every 12 that is cast on?  My brain is tired.
4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Michael Jackon Beat It jacket on: October 12, 2009 04:56:13 PM
Don't be suprised... you knew someone was going to be MJ!!!  Only, it is not me, it is my  Michael Jackson obsessed 5 year old!  I bought a red hooded raincoat to which I am going to cut down the hood to make a collar.  Zippers, easy.  HOWEVER, I am stumped on the shoulder patches. Do y'all have any suggestions?Huh I thought about glitter, but that might be too messy (remember 5 year old!).

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitsimple Magazine pattern question on: January 02, 2008 05:37:18 PM
Ok.  So I got this advertisement for Knitsimple magazine and on the envelope there is a woman wrapped in a blanket... anyone know what I'm talking about?  Better yet, anyone know the pattern?
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Girlfriend Swing Coat yarn sub on: July 23, 2007 08:26:02 AM
Just wondering, would Knitpicks Shine be a good sub for the Blue Sky Cotton?  Or, if you have made this, what did you use?  I want the good the bad and the ugly.  I have about 4 of these I have to make.... yeah, you read right. FOUR.  I am a glutton for punishment.
