goldpaperstar - those owls are adorable!  What cute stationary!

jaami - don't you love skipping bags?  They honestly are my favorite to make.  My mom would flip over that fabric too!

Okay, lilearthcreature must be busy right now, so I'm going to post pics of the bag I sent her.  I honestly can only tell you that I put a dream dictionary in it and gum and I don't remember the rest!!LOL
Here's the bag:

My daughter modeling the bag (she's almost 5' so you get the idea):

The inside material:

When Mara said she would like a Monster Bag, I was a little put off, but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.  It turned out quite well and I got lots of compliments before I sent it!  She says she likes it a lot too.

Absolutely right, samsmartypants!  I had an awful first swap, but the organiser for my second swap made up for it in a big way.  She knew the situation and made sure that the swap was wonderful for me.  In turn, I'm organising two swaps and I'm trying to keep contact going and I've been very positive and supportive with everyone who has asked me anything.

I too have met some fabulous people on here and have become friends with them.  This is a great place and manners, even on the internet, should never be forgotten.  Sometimes in the rush of life we do forget to make time for thank you's.

I think that sounds like an amusing and possibly good idea!

Pollyanna moment??

Pollyanna - A person regarded as being foolishly or blindly optimistic.  After the heroine of the novel Pollyanna, by Eleanor Hodgman Porter (1868-1920), American writer

Does that help?  I think that Disney also made a movie of Pollyanna.

Anyhow, enough of the English Lit lesson!  I have a coupla small baskets of fabric, when I buy, I use.  But I can see where, in the future, I will have a large stash of fabric.  I'm still learning to sew things, so I don't want to get all crazy, but I always WANT to buy fabric.  There's so many wonderful textures and prints...

mserocks - "AWWWWW".  That is so sweet!  I bet she'll just love working with you on this project!  I wish people in my family sewed.  Well, my aunt does, but we don't get to do things like that together.  But I can call and ask her goofy questions if need be!
