171  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: "_____ in a box" gift ideas. on: November 13, 2005 06:03:20 PM
WOOHOO!  Cheesy I found the mug!!! So That is definitly the starting point for her box, don't know what to call it, but that mug, coffee, some Jack Daniles (her favorite drink), and maybe a couple other things...

Also, I forgot to mention that we are on a somewhat tight budget, so nothing TOO expencive.

OK Going to make this one "Pick-me-up in a box" , still thinking about the 16 yr old's theme, I am stuck on Candi in a box, because I got her a few things related to her name.

Anyone have any ideas for the single mom I mentioned? I am stuck, I can't think of anything besides bath stuff, but I got her that last year. I can imagine dolphins working well for the decopaging, but what would go inside?

Hehe, my first post after so much lurking!  Grin

OK, I LOVE this idea, and thanks to the wonderful internet, I have most of my Christmas shopping finnished and on a good bdget too!  Cheesy gotta love that!

I do have a few people on my list yet, but not sure what to get them. I know at least 2 that are most likely getting "_____ in a box", but I need some ideas.

OK, Dificult to buy for person numero uno...

16 year old girl. She likes cheerleading, but she's tomboyish. She is EXTREEMLY spoiled and even more picky. She isn't into much other than boys and her friends, and maybe a little bit of music and sports. By FAR the hardest person to buy for on my list every year. I was thinking maybe Candi in a box (her name is Candi) and just do things that partain to her, maybe a pompom or something, a disposible camera (she loves to take pics of friends), some hair ties (to keep her hair out of her way), and of course, some of her favorite Candy.
I was also thinking of making a short little description for everything in the box and putting lables on them.

Next person on the list is my fiance's sister, and one of my bridesmaids. She is less hard to buy for, but I just can't find anything.

She is 23, has 2 young daughters, is very girly and pretty, LOVE LOVE LOVES dolphins, but has a house full of dolphin anything from plates, to blankets, to jewelry. I was thinking either a mom's day off in a box (please someone give me a better name for this! LOL) and put in a card saying I owe her 1 free day of babysitting and have the rest be things to go out on the town with her friends, or something like a spa in a box, but I don't want to be traditional about it because I got her a bath set last year.

Other suggestions highly welcomed! LOL (Read: PLEASE HELP! LOL)

Oh one more person... Good friend, mid 30's, tom boy all the way, lives, works, and sleeps horses. Workaholic to say the least. Hardly sleeps. I was thinking something along the lines of horses and/or coffee. I saw a to-go mug in a magazene that said "Giddup cup" and had a sillouette of a bucking horse on it, I would LOVE to get that for her, but I can't find it locally or online, and I don't want to deal with mail order and overpay for it.

Thanks in advance for any help!  Grin
