Beautiful!  I'm totally inspired.
213  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Is wearing your own work a faux pas? on: December 20, 2005 12:34:36 PM
Um..NO!
Making stuff that you can wear is one of the most rewarding things I can think of.  As someone mentioned above, why would you make stuff to sell or give to people if you wouldn't wear it yourself?
214  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / one-sided paper book ideas? on: December 20, 2005 11:27:10 AM
So, here's the deal.  I have all this scrap paper (paper that has been printed on one side only), and being conservation-minded, I'd like to turn it into notebooks for next semester.  I've done this with japanese stab binding before, but I'm looking for alternate binding methods (the japanese stab method is good because you don't have to fold the pages, so the blank sides of the paper all face in the same direction, but I find it to be really stiff, so the book doesn't stay open or lay flat well).  If you have any suggestions about adapting the stab binding so the book stays open, that would als be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
215  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: More lace! Print O' The Wave Stole (free pattern available soon) on: December 20, 2005 10:41:49 AM
That is beautiful.  I'm excited to see the pattern.  Someday, when school isn't taking over my life, I will allow lace knitting to take it over instead.
216  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Washing fleeces on: December 19, 2005 03:04:47 PM
That's pretty much what I did (dawn, hot water, no agitation), but if there are any other suggestions I'd love to hear them (says the girl with about 5 fleeces in her closet, waiting to be washed).

Wait, did I miss something?  Why would you want to sell this for anything close to $30?Huh?  That probably wouldn't even cover the cost of the yarn.   I'm not sure where the idea came from, since it wasn't mentioned in the original post, but...gah!! Don't even think about it!  Maybe $300  Smiley.  I made this sweater too, so I know how long it takes.  Oh, and also, it violates copyright to sell something made from someone else's pattern (unless you have permission from the designer).
But, what I meant to say was... it's beautiful.  You did a great job, and I love the color choice as well.
