1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / How long should I expect for a sale? on: July 05, 2010 07:02:38 PM
Yay I opened my Etsy! I'm really impatient so when I posted my items, I refreshed my page five million times and only one view on one item?!

Lol. I wasn't expecting someone to buy it that second, but what is the average I should wait for my first sale?
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Friendly Plastic? on: September 14, 2007 11:33:08 AM
I was searching through google on how to make plastic pendants and this product popped up.

Has anyone ever used it? If so, I'd like to know how it turned out, etc. They don't have it at the Michael's here, so I'd have to get it online.
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / NINTENDO-ALONG!! ^_^ on: January 29, 2007 03:00:07 PM
Ok, so I'm currently crocheting a nintendo controller pillow and I have an afghan in mind where the squares are like pixels Tongue and I was thinking that we should do a craft-along for nintendo, like Link, mario, controllers, etc. Anyone interested?

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Anti-v-day-along (hehe I sound bitter xD) on: January 26, 2007 08:50:09 AM
Well, my and my ex just broke up, and a day after we did, I find out he went out with some other girl, and that was the reason we broke up, not all of the bull**** he told me. So yea, I'm really pissed, and I'm totally anti-love (for me, at least) for now, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, so anyone wanna do a anti-v-day-along?

EDIT: If you wanna sign up, please email me at artcake2000@aol.com or im me at artcake2000 ^_^

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / ready-for-spring armwarmer! ^_^ (pattern included!) on: January 23, 2007 10:11:50 PM
EDIT: I forgot to put what I used to make this when I posted it  Roll Eyes

Ok, I'm still making the other one, but it was so cute and pretty, I couldn't help but post it on here as well as a tutorial! ^_^

This is my first wearable crochet thing I've made so far (I started crocheting last wednesday Grin ) as well as the first tutorial I've made, I hope you like it!

Yarn for armwarmer: brown worsted-weight
J-6.00 mm crochet hook
Lion Brand Incredible yarn for the ribbon (it was 2 dollars, I couldn't resist  Cheesy )
Moda Dea Cache yarn for the flower!

Armwarmer! ^_^

Ch 30, join with sl st.

1st round: dc ea. st. (for the pretty ribbon ^_^)

2nd and 3rd round: sc in ea st. through back loop

4th round: hdc in ea. st. through back loop

5th round: dc in ea. st.

6th-9th round: sc

10th-13th round: sc until two stitches before the next round, turn. (that's to create the thumb hole ^_^)

14th round: sc until you get to the hole, then ch 2 and join with sl st.

15th round: sc

16th round: sc and fasten off!

For the rosette, it's very simple.

1st row: ch 20 st.
2nd row: sc twice in those 20 stitches, and fasten off!

Then just form it into a rosette and for more stability, sew it together so it doesn't

fall apart Tongue then just sew it on your armwarmer and weave the ribbon and you're done!

...Make two xD

I hope that was clear enough for everyone! If you have any questions, just ask!

I'm quite proud of myself, it's so cute! I'll post pictures of both of them when I finish. ^_^

Good for 14, eh? Woot!  Grin
