1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Understitching...? on: June 14, 2006 09:38:57 AM
I''m currently making a Vogue dress, and it's yelling at me to understitch. I have never heard of such an outrageous thing, but it probably isn't outrageous at all.

So, does anyone know what understitching is, and can explain it to me? I'm at quite a loss.

2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Ash Ketchum and Elephants. on: May 15, 2006 05:50:24 PM
Here are two shirts I made a couple nights ago.

I hope to God I spelled 'Ketchum' correctly... Google says I did.
3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / A little help on a stencil search? on: May 10, 2006 07:04:32 AM
For Mother's Day I am going to stencil a t-shirt for mi madre.

I was thinking I'd like 2 robots, like a mother/daughter sort of thing. I've checked some various stencil sites, and I can't seem to come up with any cute feminine-type robots.

Can someone help me? It doesn't have to be a robot, just 2 similar things, like mother/daughter-ness.

Thanks in advance..<3
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Duct-Tape Creature (picture overweight) on: April 23, 2006 07:06:59 PM
My brother made this, and because of his lack of craftster account, I am posting it.

It's a duct-tape creature, not exactly sure of what it is. The body is tape wrapped around  balls of magazine pages, and taped together. I'm not quite sure what the wings are, but they are quite sturdy. The hair is strips of an old rope, and the hat is a rather nice police hat. Without further ado, Here he is.

And, on an un-related note, I bit a face into an apple I was eating, but now I can't eat it because I think it's cute, and I'd feel guilty. (Sorry for the bad picture)
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Simple Moster the Monster on: April 18, 2006 04:57:13 PM
This guy is a mixture of frustration and very soft yarn. I was a little bit sad/frustrated that I couldn't sew a Cube, so I just started knitting. This is the product of that.

He doesn't have a name yet, because I'm giving him to my friend Alex.

I think he's cute in his own lifeless, sad, sort of way.

I made him a little Guh-guh-guh-girlfriend. And here she is, this little rascal.

Pinky loves playing dress up with my pin cushion. : )
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Parents 20th Anniversary... on: February 16, 2006 03:35:29 PM
So my parents are going to celebrate their 20th anniversary on March 17th (St. Patty's Day!! Smiley  ), and I need something to make for them. I think I should make something to show how I appreciate them for the both of them, and for my mom something related to her job (dental hygenist) and my dad something for gaming.

I need help, and pretty much anything will be better than the few ides I have.

Thanks in advance honeys!
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Losing my Best Friend tomorrow... on: January 01, 2006 03:31:28 PM
I've had Snowball for as long as I can remember. We have to put her down in the morning, she's getting old and her hip problems cause too much pain, and it hurts to see her go through that. I want to spend my last night with her playing and laying down with her, rather than crying about it. Tomorrow will come faster than I could ever imagine, I'm sure. If you had one last night what would you do with your pet to make the most of it? Also, when she's gone I want to do something for her, a tribute/memorial sort of thing. Ideas?

8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Milk Cartons..... Tons of them. on: December 19, 2005 04:58:09 PM
Well, At school I'm a school lunch fiend. Not saying our lunch is particularly good or anything, but after eating it every school day I've attented with the exception of a few here or there, I love them. For the past month/month and a half or so, I've been saving the milk carton. I come home and wash them out and all that jazz, and I want to make something from them. All of them are pink (Strawberry Milk everyday...). Any ideas/suggestions would be great.

I'd also like to make a school lunch model type thing, Save a tray (if it's not too dirty) and make something using the tray and carton.... Not sure yet.

Oh, And I have a ton of trays too, but those are harder to get because they get dirty, and I don't feel like carrying them around...

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / What to wear....RHPS on: December 04, 2005 12:36:25 PM
Well, I'm going to a shadowcast of Rocky Horror Picture Show on the 10th, and was wondering what to wear. I've been to one previously, and I know to wear a raincoat/jacket. I want to make something a little Rocky-esque, but not an outfit from the actual show. Any tips or suggestions would make my life a LOT easier.

Thanks in advance!! <33
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Craft Club.. on: December 04, 2005 12:31:36 PM
At school, my friend and I  have started a craft club. Tomorrow is our first meeting, and we're knitting. We have extra needles and yarn, but more people might come. I need some ideas for a craft or project to do for the people that either don't want to knit, or don't have supplies.

Also, my friend and I made a 'Donations Box', but do you think it should double as a suggestion box??

Thanks in advance, <33
