1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Skulls and Ruffles Tube Top on: March 27, 2012 06:25:43 PM
I made this top for the Sleigh Bells concert I went to last night.
Front View:

Back View:

The skull print is cotton, and the body is lightweight crepe.  There is a zipper and hook and eye closure in the center back seam.  I also added lace trim on both the neckline and hemline, and elastic around the neckline to help it stay up.
2  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Tribal Fusion Costumes on: March 22, 2012 06:56:24 PM
Here are a couple of Belly Dance costumes I have made.
Front View

Close Up

Bra top / sports bra was made of lycra knit.
Vest was made of croc textured vinyl with brass frog closures.
Garter pants were made of a heavy knit and brass detail
Bustle skirt was made with suiting fabric with crme lace trim

Back View

The bra has under wire and the cups are made of brocade, with burgundy taffeta straps and a dangling pendant.
The hip scarf is made out of the same brocade, and has tarnished silver frog closure.  The dangling bits on the hip scarf were from a pair of earrings I took apart, and the skirt has 8 cascade gores around the bottom.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / A Bunch of Pin Up Clothing on: March 12, 2012 09:31:51 AM
Here are some pin-up styled clothing pieces that I've made.

Stretch satin halter top and black twill pencil skirt with a double kick pleat in back.  Unfortunately I dont have a photo of the back detail.

High waisted denim shorts (I didnt make the tank top)  They took forever to fit!

Graphic floral print wiggle dress.  Fabric is a lightweight stretch twill. (My friend Sarah modeled for me.)

Stretch lace and jersey top, and same black pencil skirt as the first picture (the top is burgundy if anyone is wondering)

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Nautical Photo Skirt on: December 31, 2007 07:38:48 AM
I found this awesome fabric and it screamed "I want to be a flowy skirt", so I FINALLY got around to making it, and here's the result:

Thanks for looking!  Comments Appreciated.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Kimono Top and Pencil Skirt on: December 16, 2007 12:04:24 PM
This is my first attempt at a kimono top, it's made out of satin.
...Next time I think I'll make the sleeve holes a little larger.
The skirt is nothing special, just a basic black pencil skirt.

Hope you enjoyed the pics!  Grin

7  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Background Issues & Critique on: January 04, 2007 12:45:21 PM
Hey all,
my website is http://www.leismerchandize.com
I was wondering if anyone could check it out and let me know if the background on the home page is showing up?  It works on my computer, but I've checked on a few others and it doesn't.  I have no idea how to fix it either, if anyone has some ideas I would LOVE the input.

Also any general comments or suggestions would be apprieciated.

8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Wahmshoppes on: November 23, 2006 07:09:36 AM
Hi, I'm considering registering with http://wahmshoppes.com/
I was wondering if anyone else has used them, if so I'd really appreciate some opinions.
Also I'm a little confused, does there service include a domain name or will I have to register for that separately?  Thanks.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Saucer tutu on: February 02, 2006 03:04:19 PM
I've been asked to make dance costumes for a local dance academy's recital.  One of the costumes includes a saucer tutu.  I have a few ideas how to make it, but still not quite sure, I was wondering if anyone has made one, or knows how to make one?  Any ideas are welcome.  Thanks
If you don't know what a saucer tutu is you can view it at http://artstonecostumes.com/frameset.do?catalogId=01 it is style 0360.  Thanks again
