4  Re: my version of the record purse [img heavy] in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by pemberley on: January 03, 2006 02:08:03 PM
1. Use 2 45s and the material of your choice.
2. Trace 2 circles onto the material that are a little larger than the 45s are. Cut out the circles.
3. Place the circles with what will be the inside of the purse facing out.
4. Leave space at the top and start sewing. Sew all the way around to the other side until you are even across with the area from which you started sewing.
5. Flip the pouch so that the outside of the purse is outside.
6. Take the top part that you left open and fold it down inside.
7. Pin on the zipper and start sewing it on.
8. The pouch is complete once the zipper is intact.
9. Take the 45s and with a heated needle poke holes all the way around....you dont have to make holes in the top parts.
10. After the holes have been made, glue the 45s onto both sides of the pouch and let dry.
11. Once the glue has dried, take a threaded needle and reinforce the 45s by sewing through the holes and pouch.
12. Take whatever you are using as a strap and sew onto the sides of the pouch.
13. Finished!!

I made this for a friend's daughter. There is a coin-sized rectangular opening in the back, but I forgot to take a picture of it.
