I am having a difficult time doing the simplist thing...making a hat...in the pattern it tells you to double crochet *through the back two loops*....what back two loops?Huh....where???...the only loops I see are the ones at the tops of the previous stitches.....any advice?Huh

Thanks!
12  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Color changes....and does size REALLY matter??? on: November 07, 2005 11:03:49 AM
I know this has probably been covered before, but I'm having a difficult time finding the thread (no pun intended) Roll Eyes....I just taught myself to crochet and am wondering about color changes....I get HOW to do them, BUT....if they are just crocheted into the project (without tying them off)....won't they unravel over time???....I would hate to spend tons of time on a blanket, just to have it eventually unravel....

And....my aunt was telling me that if you crochet loosely, you want a smaller needle....and vise versa, if you crochet tight you want a bigger needle....Soooooo, when choosing a pattern, and it gives you the size hook to use...should you adjust it (the hook size) to your crocheting style....

Thanks in advance for any help....
