I'm not quite sure, either, Cold Dinner. Dolls used in therapy, I guess.
They are silky smooth and nice to hold ( unless you just spent 3 hours working on one  Grin) and look a bit like those articulated mannikins that can be posed and drawn from in art classes.
Thanks! they turned out great ( there were many more than what was in the picture.. reds and blues and sparkly ones) but totally cured me of the desire to work with satin ever again.

5  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Craftster Graphics? on: July 15, 2007 09:13:22 PM
I love this website.. thank you very much for it.

What caught my eye immediately about it were the graphics used.... i recognised them from my own tattered and much used 1965  volume 5 of "The Bookshelf for Boys and Girls",  "Things to Make and Do".... I have treasured that book from infancy ( I was born in 1969;)  .. Thank you! Thank you again!

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Pinecone and feathers barrettes and pins- with tutorial on: July 15, 2007 08:21:00 PM
very cool!  I live in the woods with my flock of exotic chickens ( oh.. and my family.. I nearly forgot!  Cheesy ) .. I can feel some feather/ pinecone accessories coming on!

Maybe I am old and out of touch... do people wear feathers anymore?

I know I do.. but usually it is when I find a gift left by one of my Roosters (feather!)  and I stick it in my hair while I gather eggs.....

Great tut.. thankee!
