1  Therapy dolls in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by absinthe001 on: July 15, 2007 05:56:06 PM
A few years ago, I got a commission to make these dolls.. Therapy Dolls.. designed to be used while meditating, comforting therapies, or sommat.  The Lady was very specific about what she wanted, and what sorts of fabrics I could use.  The dolls turned out pretty cool, but I swear I will never do a dictated commission again!  I absolutely detested turning the satin fabrics out, and some of the other fancy fabrics that were prone to fraying. Ugh. I also detest doing multiples of the exact same thing. they do look cool when finished, but *yawn* so dull! The lady was pleased, and wanted more, but I flatly refused.
I tried doing  meditation with them, and the only thing they inspired me to do is throw them against the wall.. not very zen, I am afraid.
